A tribute to a well know Royal Air Force pilot. / I had the pleasure of knowing Bill while serving at RAF Laarbruch when he was / on 2 Sqn. I used to kit hime up with his flying clothing. I also was on the taxi way on brakechute recovery, when Bill ejectioned on the runway at RAF Laarbruch. I was only about 300mtrs away sitting in the landrover!

This was taken at the 2008 Daytona 500 right before the race. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds performed their fly-over and did a few other aerobatic moves through the sky over the course of just a few minutes. I managed to get a picture of a solo F-16 Fighting Falcon shooting upward into the sky. I love this picture, just the pilot, a massive amount of horsepower, and the sky. I was doing my usual sunset watching routine when this Westjet 737 came in for a landing at Victoria International Airport on Vancouver Island. I liked the different cloud hues, as the sun had already set. Sept. 20, 2007, Sony DSCF828 camera.
