Folk Devils and Moral Panics / This is artwork I have just completed for one-man-music-show Onemancabal / I just wanted to share this piece because I am so very proud of it, I put my heart and soul into this work – and I think when you listen to the music you’ll agree it suits. The idea for this piece was to create a long artwork that would be divided into the various parts of the CD packaging – so the far left is the cover, with the middle section on the inside front cover and the inlay, and the far right is the back of the CD. My intention was to have just a few characters coming onto the front and back of the case, to entice people to open it up and be blown away by the intricate illustration inside. Like a reward for buying the CD! We wanted to have innocent looking characters with a slightly sinister edge to them – reflecting the music (which has some beautiful folky, traditional sounds but isn’t all it seems). It was a great blend of my two distinctive styles and I am absolutely in love with it! / I’ll be posting details and credits on my website soon – and perhaps some snap shots of how it all came together…enjoy! P.S This is only a demo CD, so fingers crossed Onemancabal gets signed and we can all buy his beautiful music…

The frog is an amphibian in the order Anura. Adult frogs are characterised by long hind legs, a short body, webbed digits, protruding eyes and the absence of a tail. Most frogs have a semi-aquatic lifestyle, but move easily on land by jumping or climbing. They typically lay their eggs in puddles, ponds or lakes, and their larvae, called tadpoles, have gills and develop in water. Adult frogs follow a carnivorous diet, mostly of arthropods, annelids and gastropods.(wikipedia.org)
This little carnivorous plant is a character in a story I made up one day. She’s was first created in Cinema4D, a 3d modelling program. / Who knew that redrawing her in illustrator would take so long!!! Her favourite food is space travellers but when they’re not available, is just as happy to munch on the flies of her home planet, Venus. She’s also starring in 2 artworks with Origami Man…
The idea of the Wind Horse has captivated me lately. I have always been fond of prayer flags but have never studied them so closely before. On one type of Tibetan prayer flags, often the four animals of the cardinal directions are depicted in the corners and the wind horse in the center. The latter has given those flags the name Lung-ta. They flutter in the wind, and carry the prayers to heaven like the horse flying in the wind. Its appearance is supposed to bring peace, wealth, and harmony. I hope you enjoy my take on a traditional symbol. Image produced in Photoshop

5”x7” This is a handmade card I created with Koh-I-Noor woodless colour pencils, water based ink brush pens, oil pastel and gold metallic ink on Canvas Paper. The eye of the bird is actually a very tiny glass green bead. This creation is partly inspired by The Golden Bird by The Brothers Grimm ”...As the clock struck twelve he heard a rustling noise in the air, and a bird came flying that was of pure gold; and as it was snapping at one of the apples with its beak, the gardener’s son jumped up and shot an arrow at it. But the arrow did the bird no harm; only it dropped a golden feather from its tail, and then flew away…” / Read the entire story here I do love fairy tales and even more so, fantastical creatures, I hope you enjoy this one… Carrie Collect the whole series… / You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /
I have traveled far and beyond all you know. / I have felt that which could not be felt. / I have seen that which is most hidden. / I have touched that which is forbidden. Few have seen what I seen. / Fewer still ever know. I have seen holes in the fabric of the Universe. / I have felt time frozen and all identity lost. / I knew not who am I, where or what am I, and yet I was. / I was a thought, a light, a spark, a vision. I was the Thing inside my vision. I was the very word that tried to describe it. I was lost and I have found myself. Words cannot describe it. / So I cannot. But I WAS THERE! I can swear it. / And yes, I can go there again. / Anytime! Soon…
