Proceeds of any sale form this series will go to helping victims of the Victorian bush fires of February 2009. Lets all get together and help people in need! ;-) xox Well it was a very strange day shooting. Part of a series. This image was shot using a / mamiya 220 camera (6X6 medium format) and iLford black and white roll film. / The original is hand printed by moi on Ilford Multigrade IV Fiber Based Paper.
Following on from The Rose ~ 1, I’ve tried a different process (also different view and using my P&S camera this time!) hopefully giving the more faded appearance. _Sold as a mounted print to an anomymous RB buyer 16 May 09 … thank you!!! _ Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM
Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / / / / / ’’Asian Series’ card by Karin Taylor Tang Court Trio came about through my research on the history and culture of the Chinese people. During the Tang period in China, art, literature and music flourished, and female musicians were in abundance. I find their traditional garments beautiful, artworks in themselves.
taken at the Reed Flute Caves in Guilin, China
Image by photographer Glennis Siverson, www.glennisphotos.com This beautiful water reflection scene is at the end of the trail in Reed Flute Cave, located near the city of Guilin, China. I shot this on 35mm film, then had it converted to a high res tiff file. There was no editing done to this….. it is really that lovely! This is one of the last images I shot on film before making a complete transition to digital.

Experimenting with a very simple vintage effect … if you like it, I’ll post a tutorial. The process requires layers and while I did it in photoshop, I can’t see why it wouldn’t work in Elements. It is very effective on portraits also. Softsweet is the flautist of the Unseelie Orchestra. A woman by day, and an owl by night, she can only play her enchanted instrument at dusk when her body is between her two shapes. It is then that she is most enarmoured of song and light.
The Magic Flute was Mozart’s last opera. It was produced at Vienna on September 30, 1791, and on December 5 he passed away.Something that has always disturbed me is that this wonderful composer was never given a decent burial. He was thrown into a commoner’s grave. What I never understood and still can’t understand is why people didn’t get together and bury him with some recognition and dignity? This painting is for him….Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Wax, enamels, inks and graphite
