  • Created for possible inclusion in a local band’s album art. Their concept was ‘The Torture Garden,’ something about the hidden beauty in death and pain, the duality of creation and destruction … or, something like that. This was the second of two pieces created for the project and, by far, the one I’m happiest with. Brush and ink, Charcoal (black and white), red permanent marker, black ultra-fine Sharpie on 9” X 12” charcoal paper.

  • If we suppress the internodes, we get whorls of twos; or if nature takes two pairs to make a whorl, the flower is in fours....... / Mr. G. Henslow Painting acrylics and inks.
