  • Great friends, great fun !!!!!!- the colors represent happiness. A natural portrait of friends having fun in the sun :]

  • This particular daffy stood out for me in the original photo, he seemed to be reaching for an extra share of sunlight over his buddies. Thanks to young Merv at Camera Club tonight, I finally figured out how to make it look the way I wanted it to. • Arcylic painting with mixed media. This idea was taken from my young childhood days sketchbook . / Sometimes i used to go in a big field, away from it all.. / with my skecthbook and paints, looking up at the sun, to me the sun’s rays used to look like all these sparkling, and dazzling rays, coming towards me. With the fields and corn everywhere, i used to see patterns and images , as the breeze blew them into this and that shape, or is it, and always be, the fact i just have a creative head with illusions in me, .............. don’t know, will anyone ever understand how i see things….......

  • This is four photos that I chose to layer to get a similar effect as “nature under water” and “the nature of things” although I used live nature and threw it on printed images for the others. The amazing gifts of the earth that we live with and we survive because of…......we are all connected. A song called Dancing / by Elisa Toffoli

  • grayish-green, like an unripe olive / •(of the complexion) yellowish brown; sallow part of a ttv (through the viewfinder) series Theory: / TTV (Through The Viewfinder) photography is when you use an old medium format camera and a digital camera. / These old medium format twin reflex cameras have large viewfinders. Firstly you compose your image using the medium format camera (in my case i have used a mamiya c33) then you actually take the picture using a digital camera (here i use my pentax K10) of what is in the viewfinder of the old camera.

  • Daffodils in the soft spring sunlight seem to me to be pure sunshine. The original painting is watercolour on Fabriano Artistico 140lb cold press paper, 12.5×10 inches. The exciting news is that it has already been featured on RedBubble!

  • The sunlight through the petals and leaves looked lovely against the backdrop of the snow outside. Our short days make sunshine seem all the more precious, even indoors. Winner of Tulips in Vases challenge (I know – how many people have those photos or flowers hanging around, ready to pop into a challenge, eh?) Actually, I’m truly appreciative. And nice of someone to post it on the homepage, too. Pacific Northwest Art featured May 30, 2009 – Thank you! # Featured in Alaska ~ Beyond Your Dreams – Thank you! Best Viewed Large This little guy … and all his brothers and sisters … love to come take a dip in my pool every night (I think it rains toads here) ... and every morning it is my great pleasure to scoop them out … one by one … and set them free. They’re about the size of a fingernail … a regular fingernail, you know, the kind that scrubs floors and does a bit of gardening (when not taking pictures, that is), not those long fancy manicured types. I decided the other day that it was time these guys paid for all my rescue efforts with a little modeling. Fear not … after 5 minutes or so he was sent on his merry way!!! Image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 60mm Nikon/Nikkor macro/micro lens on the morning of June 21, 2009. Shutter at 1/400, aperture f/10.0, exp. 0.00, iso 400. Also Available:

  • This photo has not been cross-processed properly, apparently. However, I’d never heard of cross-processing until recently. I’ve read that the term started by developing color print or slide film in the wrong chemicals – for example, color negative film in slide chemicals or slide film by the color negative process. This causes wild color and contrast shifts and requires lots of trial and error. for more, see Dana DiPasquale’s forum page. Apparently a group exists for cross-processing experts, as well. / / However, playing with the RGB channels certainly stretched my tendency for more realistic, staid photos! I played with this photo last night using Sue Wickham’s method and the tutorial that Mary Campbell posted. I used curves and RGB channels in Photoshop and Nikon’s Capture NX2.1 software. / / This is the Capture NX2 version, with a bit of a vignette blur from efex. Original: Nikon D200, Nikkor 70-300mm, 145mm, f/5.6, 1/1000sec, -0.3ev., ISO 200, manual exposure, / Converted from 12-bit RAW to jpeg. Manfrotto tripod. / 2025×3037px
