  • At Day’s End As the sun goes down over the front range mountains of Denver, Colorado, the Sunflowers turn, in anticipation of the sun coming back up in the morning. Photographed in a field where all you can see for miles and miles is Sunflowers….billions of Sunflowers. An entire sea of yellow and gold….caught in my lens for a fleeting instant, where the whole world was at peace…. Minolta 5D / Minolta 50mm f1.7 Lens / Singh-Ray CPL / Dynatran 858 Tripod / HDR through Photomatix, final output through Photoshop

  • Wild flowers are everywhere throughout the fields and on the roadsides in Turkey this May! As you can imagine I didn’t get far on my bike… / :) A first macro on a borrowed Nikon coolpix 4800 compact and the step up in quality from my usual Fuji Finepix A500 shows! (I was never able to give it back and came to an amicable arrangement…lol…) Taken on macro setting with selftimer and using a pocket sized 4” tripod.. Straight from the camera apart from slight cropping and a great reminder of the swathes of these beautiful flowers

  • This pretty bridge is along the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal in South Wales UK. I went walking along there one Summers day a few months ago. I was actually looking for ducks to photograph. As I turned a bend in the canal, there before my eyes was this beautiful small stone bridge. It looked like something out of a fairy tale. It was nestled among the trees in the soft sunlight and reflecting its beauty in the water below. I sat on a bench for a while just looking at it and snapping a few pics, forgetting all about the ducks I originally went in search of. I must go back there when it snows so I can see it in all its winter glory. / /

Not to wax tooo philosophic, but I think this proves once and for all that we should open our minds to believing in more than what our eyes tell us is reality … because our eyes will NOT see this!!! This was taken with the Nikon D40x, on manuel at a shutter speed of 1/2000 and ap of f 3.2, iso 100. Taken on June 22, 2008 in Montgomery County, Md. The Wall: /

  • Sales of this design? – 2 sales Sweethearts is a pencil drawing which i’ve coloured digitally.. / I hope you like :)

  • Sales of this design so far – 2 sales / / Soul Sisters below (click for more info) / / / The little Dreamer sits in her garden enjoying nature all around, dreaming up new ideas using her big imagination! Created from a pencil drawing, coloured digitally and adjustments made in Photoshop.

  • / / / original pencil drawing ...stayed up very late drawing “Nature’s Child”... you know when it’s time for a baby to be born, i think it’s very similar with art… the inspiration just comes when it’s ready…and sometimes that means drawing til 3am like i did with this one. ...the drawing took about 3 hours, and the digital colouring took about 5 hours today. ...inspired by some fantastic eyes i’ve seen lately, (drawn by people on RB) and the dear little willy wagtails…they are so cheeky…they aren’t authentic in colour here, because they are always black and white with little markings above the eye…but i have put their essence into the work hopefully. I think this is my favourite so far :) /

  • Featured in The Compact Group October 30, 2009. / Featured in á EUROPA! September 13, 2009. / Featured in ! #1 Artists of Redbubble ! September 9, 2009. / Featured in Greece and All Things Hellenic September 9, 2009. Best in Full Size Our visit to Greece was all too short … this particular image is representative of all of beautiful Corfu … taken from the terrace of the Paleokastritsa Monastery in July of 2005 with the Olympus C-5000 zoom. I’ve been playing with this image, off and on, for months so am not at all certain at this point what different things I’ve done to it. Pretty sure there’s HDR in there somewhere, with the original hand-held image duplicated a few times and put through Photomatix. I did a lot of hand painting … in particular of the flowers in the foreground … but then I think an Orton sort of blurred the details, so I went back and re-painted the white flowers. Also, several texture layers … one actually behind the water area (which was miserably blown out) to give it life, and one or two over the image as well. Not to mention some work in Levels and some Dodging and Burning. A labor of love, as they say, as the trip to Greece and Corfu were a dream come true!!! My thanks to CGTextures, Princess of Shadows of Deviant Art, and Ghostbones on Flickr for the textures.
