The sunlight used to stream onto this Buddha but, unfortunately, now it is roofed over. It is quite high and is located at Wat Sri Prathum in Bangkok.
This is the same type of blossom as my work titled “Serenity” ......and these small but very lovely blossoms were part of an arrangement that I received from a dear friend of mine… These particular flowers are so very delicate and fragile….the slightest shake or movement..and the soft petals tumble to the ground… When I know wxactly what type of flower this is..I will be sure to post it… / Thank you! / Suni

In white they wait – not faces but flower stalks. / Not veils but petals. The silent brides are coming – so pure.

Flame Azalea, (rhododendron calendulaceum) is one of the nine rhododendron genus shrubs growing in the Great Smoky Mountains. It is often confused with the Cumberland Azalea which is on the red side of orange, while the flame azalea is on the yellow side. These shrubs may start blooming in the lower elevations mid April and May. The higher elevations and balds are in June and July. Some of the best displays in the park are at Gregory and Andrews Balds or along the Balsam Mountain Road….. William Bartram, an early botanist, discovered flame azaleas in 1791, he described the plant as “certainly the most gay and brilliant flowering shrub yet known.” I can personally recomend the Balsam Mountain and Heintooga Ridge Road in the Great Smoky Mountains as a great place to view these beautiful Azalea often you’ll see them side by side with Mountain Laurel in a brilliant display
Wildflowers amongst a quiet stream grow in the Alluvial Fan area of Rocky Mountain National park during summer …..such an utterly tranquil scene, I think if you listen close you can hear the water run!
The dust seen here hasn’t been added in its all part of the ttv style and using a camera thats nearly 60 years old. All the more reason I love ttv so much its authentic in its vintage feel because it IS vintage.Cheers Jules:) This is a TtV image (Through the Viewfinder), using the alternative photographic technique of composing the image through an old twin reflex camera and taking the picture with a new digital camera’.

A peaceful drive on a gorgeous road in Arkansas. This country road is loaded with the beauty of the spring blooming trees, and new leaves budding, and the wild creeping phlox blooming along the ditch line. Kinda makes your mouth water for spring doesn’t it? This is for all of us that are suffering from spring fever. / Since Joe, and Byron have been giving me such a hard time, I dedicate this one to you both in pure D. O. meanness, with the love of just being MEAN! LOL!.
