Photographic based digital montage, 2007 (no 2 from series of 3 re-worked). Shot two seperate models & combined them. Draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, body, dress, added fringe to face, made the features more angular, blew up lips, created cheekbones, reworked branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated & added a sepia tone. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers.

Something besides portraiture for a change! This piece won the College Foundation Purchase Award in the student art show I entered last April. It was my first ever entry into an art show, and I was shocked and elated that I actually won something. Needless to say, I am very proud of this image. © Cadence Gamache This piece was nominated into the Pay It Forward group by the wonderful Melanie Dooley. The Sea Venture was one of the first ships to arrive in Bermuda. It was thrown accidentally off course by a hurricane and landed on the reefs intact. Its original course was with a fleet from England headed towards / Jamestown, Virginia to aid in the colonization. From being shipwrecked, the crew and passengers of the Sea Venture settled in Bermuda and benefitted from its tropical paradise and set up a small colony. This painting is a Mixed Media piece, combining original digital photography taken in Bermuda by me SBC, with my painting, and drawings. It is intended to capture the natural and surreal beauty of Bermuda through my eyes. This art won an Honorable Mention Award in the Rowayton Art Show in 2006 and First Place in the Darien Art Show in 2007. It is presently being considered for exhibition at the Royal Navy Dockyard Museum in Bermuda. Thank you for your interest, comments and purchases!
