The Flower Vendor / Digitally Inverted Image / Original Pen and Ink Drawing On Paper Circa 2001 / By Visual Artist Cesar Andrion Rodillas (My Father)
I just took this photo of this gorgeous flower, stumbling about in the dark! Too impatient to go and get a torch, as I have no tripod I wouldn’t have been able to hold the torch and manipulate the camera anyway.! The flower has a beautiful perfume, flowers once, only at night, gone by tomorow, lucky I spotted the bud this morning. /
This is an unspoken truth that I realized while conversing with one of my buddys. Yes, there are those chics that only look good with their makeup mask on… but then there are those ladies that have such a natural beauty that even when they’re sick, sweaty, tired, mad, or just woke-up, they’re still beautiful. Hence the birth of The Pretty Law™ (hey…. makes sense to me.) Inspired by my ex-girlfriend. The orchid was drawn by me in Adobe Illustrator. This little butterfly was in a patch of lantana flowers :) More information here
Close-up of a beautiful young woman wearing an old fashion top hat, holding a flower
Not the best picture I’m sorry, but I came across this in the conservatory in Whangarei. And as I hadn’t seen one like this I thought I would share it. Might try to go back in a few weeks and try to snap a better shot of it and update this.

There she went again, in the company of her flower friends. Ophelia sat down with a group of red hot heliconia ladies, she was so taken in by their tropical beauty and their ability to make intelligent conversation that she lost track of time again. There is no other owl who had as many flower friends as Ophelia :D / / You can view and buy my other “Red Hot Heliconias” creations at my Zazzle Gallery: /
Some things in life never lose their beauty, they always have a place in our hearts. / /
Large view recommended. Photo of my daughter admiring the neighbour’s gorgeous rose garden and wearing my dress I made. I mean my neighbour has a rose garden that is amazing! Needless to say, I LOVE it when they bloom! The smell of roses permeates / A perfume to enchant / Blossoms perfect, they radiate / In the breeze they sway and dance /
Digital collarge, inspired by the absolute beauty of nature / Digital Art Work. Working in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS2 . Creating a Collage of sorts – a real assemblage of colour. Finding images and creating more in Illustrator, playing around with some affects like image transparency, layers, warping, filters, cutting and pasting. These gorgeous ladies inspired by my mum and her 2 sisters are dressed beautifully to enjoy the beuatiful day outside

Taken at one of my local nurseries in Williston, Vermont April 11, 2009. This orchid is in the lady slipper family.
Here’s one of the Lady Slippers (Moccasin flower) up close. Notice how it resembles one of those cool fuzzy slippers! Blooming in the late Spring and into July, these have a variety of shades from violet to white. Details From Wikipedia: / “Lady’s slipper orchids, lady slipper orchids or slipper orchids are the orchids in the subfamily Cypripedioidea, which includes the genera Cypripedium, Mexipedium, Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium and Selenipedium. They are characterised by the slipper-shaped pouches (modified labellums) of the flowers – the pouch traps insects so they are forced to climb up past the staminode, behind which they collect or deposit pollinia, thus fertilising the flower.” Macro As Is straight from camera, taken May 25th, 2009 in the forest of Stinson, Mt. NH.
This is actually an antique Nippon hot cocoa set. Wealth women in the late 19th century bought the blank porcelain sets and then hand painted them as a craft. Soft pastel / Original painting is 9×12 / Acid free paper
Another view of this Painted Lady Butterfly that visited some of the flowers in my yard several days ago… When you think of butterflies, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the colorful flutter of wings…but there is so much more than initially meets the eye Did you know… ( I didn’t until now) ...that butterflies don’t have mouths that allow them to bite or chew? They, along with most moths have a long straw like structure called a proboscis which they use to drink nectar and juices. When not in use, the proboscis remains coiled like a garden hose. Here you can clearly see this “painted lady’s” proboscis information source: / MilkweedCafe /
2009 / pen, pencils and watercolor on watercolor paper didn’t intentionally mean for that flower to blend into her face, but hey…shit happens.
