This piece was originally an acrylic painting on canvas. It was created out of a craving for winter in the middle of a queensland summer.
Some say the world will end in fire, / Some say in ice. / From what I’ve tasted of desire / I hold with those who favor fire. / But if it had to perish twice, / I think I know enough of hate / To say that for destruction ice / Is also great / And would suffice. / – Robert Frost Posterlounge Store – Portfolio/Blog – deviantART Shop / “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”

Title thanks to my husband… I was stumped and when I asked my husband for a suggestion for the title he said the daisies were natures beauty and shone amongst a gloomy winters day, which to him is the essence of winter. This rose is a little tattered round the edges, but still beautiful, more beautiful even. I laid it on the snow to take this photo, and it survived very well indeed. / Nikon D50 50mm f1.8 lens
A sort of follow up to an earlier image entitled Sun Fuzzies. Here are the pretty little things after the bitter cold days of winter have set in. I was so suprised to see that one fuzzy was in fact still….fuzzy.
