  • My mom, Charmian, is the most AMAZING person – warm, talented, compassionate, energetic, accomplished, enthusiastic, sympathetic, witty, intelligent and loving. She can sail a yacht and play the drums. She cycles in bike races, and thinks nothing of cycling 80km just for fun. She can do woodwork, paint pictures and so many other things that I can’t list them all. And she can garden – her garden is extraordinary, full of lavish beauty and breathtakingly delightful. If I was any good at landscape photography I would have shown you just how good she is, but seeing as I’m not, I thought I would show you just one of the hundreds of stunning roses she grows.
