Tullips under the sun.
How about a nice and bright and cheery picture this morning….well it is morning where I am anyway…..:) Have a good day!
On this one..I was playing with the level of flash so that I could still have the flower be soft and jump out at you and appear gentle and fragile..but not be too striking and crass against the background….Thank you for taking the time to look..and please let me know what you think!! Suni
Somehow the rain helped make these lovely lilies look all the lovelier once the sun came out. As it happens, I’d been feeling rather low for some weeks before I had the opportunity to take this picture. First my husband had been ill with pneumonia and then I’d had a bout with a bad allergic reaction to something. Seeing these beautiful lilies glistening in the sun (there was whole bed of them) really helped raise my spirits.

“The splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not rob the little violet of it’s scent nor the daisy of its simple charm. If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its lovliness.” / Therese of Lisieux /
Yellow lily taken in macro mode, the camera was on vivid color selection, in my own garden just after a shower on Tuesday August 12th 2008.
IN DEFENSE OF THE DANDELION Blooms of sunshine / Offered by Spring / As one color of her palette, / Later to be found / Peeking from a grimy fist…. / Mother’s first bouquet. Soft, yellow heads / Soon turning wispy and gray / To be swept away by wind or wish. / Some call them tenacious pests / And miss their unobtrusive beauty.
Hawker, South Australia Thank you to lillylive for this quote “To me this is like people, some stand out against a colourless background like little bursts of sunshine :) ~lily”
Some of a bunch of yellow daisies bought for me yesterday and thought I’d share with you- although wet in the process of getting them home still thought they brought a bit of sunshine lo and behold it did a wonderful day today! – tried to get them in a neat group but as usual there is always one has to be different,
