  • I have finally found out what this plant is called and I was close with my original title of ‘Snowdrops’, which is just what popped into my head when I looked at this plant. I now know it is commonly called Snow Queen, hence the title change. If anyone is desperate to know, its botanical name is Pieris.

  • Other Collectibles in Children of the World Series / / / / My latest brown paper creation for the “Children of the World” series is the little eskimo “Snow Flower” – she has a little bubba attached to her back…..a string bag slung over one shoulder with her sled – it’s snowing flowers of course. She’s perfect for Christmas is you want to send a little sweetness to a special someone and I’ll be uploading 2 other versions soon, without the Christmas greeting, because these are collectibles for “Children of the World” series as well, and not only Christmas designs. / / / / /

  • This is one of our bridges and many many people jump into the fraser River. There has been so so many times on a monday morning where they have had to close down the bridge because there has been a jumper. :o( This bridge is so very old and they are constantly repairing it. It is also very conjested. I have been hearing that they will be building a new bridge. / / / /

  • I dedicate this image to Chris Ewing and the words he recently wrote about a close friend. This is my wife’s claddagh ring that I placed inside a yellow rose outside in the snow. Interestingly, I tried to upload this image before St. Patrick’s Day only to find the file damaged. I have been frustrated with the damaged file for months now. However, after reading Chris’s letter/journal, I looked in a different folder that had smaller files that I submitted to an Art Gallery in Chicago and it opened up completely undamaged. Kind of weird. But I’m glad I found an undamaged file because I have always like this image. Now it’s ready for next year’s St. Paddy’s Day. Hope you like it Chris. Maybe you should buy one for your friend? Some Claddagh ring info from Wikipedia: The Claddagh’s distinctive design features two hands clasping a heart, and usually surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown). The expression which was associated with these symbols in the giving of the ring was: “With my hands I give you my heart, and crown it with my love.” Yet, the expression, “Let love and friendship reign forever.” can be found as another meaning for the symbols.
