After posting Alien Birth I thought I should add something more attractive. So, in keeping with the ‘Alien’ theme, here is ‘Alien Beauty’. I’m no horticulturist, to me these are the yellow flowers of weeds with a black centre. But in infrared they become wonderful daisy-like beauties that might well have bloomed on some lovely, but alien, world. (the sideways thing happened again – reloading image while you’re watching!)

Acrylic On Canvas Ophelia,Phoebe and Mel having fun on the elephant’s back….and elephant was pleased to have their company as well! :D This was painted in May’08 and I remembered I had a yearning to want to visit Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand :D..so that was why I painted these 3 friends having an outing with the elephant….because there are many elephant reserves there in Chiang Mai, where they protect these precious animals from harm. We added this conservatory to our home four years ago and what a gift it has been! Rain or shine, we can so fully appreciate the beauty God has given us in the surrounding cathedral of towering fir trees, and, in the warmer months, the radiant colors of the garden flowers.
