I am Blessed to have such wonderiful friends, especially here on RB! I have Big Dreams, without a dought! I can not tell you the feeling of seeing one of them, about to come true! I Love You, Man! Thanks for all of the support, I have been getting on the Flower Power Project, its amazing! You are the best, of the best! Your images are what will make this project, Great! I am deeply touched, by the addition of each, and every beautiful image added! / I hope to work out all the remaining details, as soon as I can. Our meeting will happen as soon as Diana Moya, gets back in town, around the middle of next week! I am hoping to have all the images added with the tags, to show her all the amazing talent , and support of the artist here on RB! I will have her do a search for the tags (Flower, Power, Project, and screensaver). This Dream would not come true, without your support, and your involvement! THANK YOU ALL! Your friend, Big D! / PS If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask! I will be happy to answer all that you might have! And it might be importart ( something I did not think of) and need to post on my journal, for others to read. Colin Walker’s question, made me think about what image would look best! Images that fill the screen, would look the best, don’t you agree!

  • ADDING IMAGES TO THE CALLOGE

You can add all you want to this project, or so I have been told! I am looking for work that will add to the depth! If you pull up the work already added, you might see what could be added, to do just that! I do not care if it’s a painting, or a drawing, or computer art, as long as it’s flowers! From singles, to a feild covered with them, or anything in between! Be sure to tag, ( flower power project screensaver )so it can be found, when I have my meeting, Thursday! Thanks for your support, your friend, Big D! / The more images I can get for the screensaver, the better the promotion of all involved, and the project! And is totally FREE, no matter what else you add! NOTE As far as adding prints, for the calloge! ( It is not a requirement), but if you want to contribute in print to the calloge, add only what you can afford! The screensaver is total FREE, and it might be be all we can do, at this point! Maybe there are some on RB, who can help build the virtual calloge, for us, and it to will be FREE, to add to at least! The final collage might become a picture, you can buy to have for your own sake, and will be added into a T-shirt as well, with all the names of the artist who freely contributed, and make the project whatever it turns out being! In my mind, its going to be Great, because of all the support, of my wonderiful friends! I would also like to have it turned into a book as well! Thats just what I dream, BIG! Can’t say, I am not from Texas! LOL But, if you can afford the ( large/tag) foamboard print, it will be even more promotion of your contribution, for this project, and still fairly cheap! A little more exposure, for as little cash needed! It will be added to the calloge just before the show, if we are able to get enough in print! / (It is only if you wish), to have more exposure, and will not effect your promotion what so ever, even if all you add is tagged, flower power project screensaver! Thanks again, Big D! I myself love FREE! But, I do think I can print out a few for promotion, but I am here too! Your friend, Big D!

10/19/07 / After talking to kathleen thought I would post this to keep everyboy current! My dream was, and wil change as we find out what all might be possible! I could not make any promises before, but think I can say now, if you just beleive there is no stopping what we will do! I will do all that I personnally can, and hopefully we will be in your town before long! / / Kathleen, do not worry about a thing, some accuse me of being all over the place! My mind goes wild, and sometimes its hard to keep up with me! Or understand what I am try’n to do! So it might not be you! I try to post into my journal for information needed to follow where I am going! Most of this started as a dream! To help promote redbubble, and some of the amazing talent here on RB! IT was in their spirit of Free, that I wanted to help promote all those who beleived in this group effort! All of those who will contribute their work towards (screensaver/ tag) would have their images show as a screensaver for promotion purposes only! I had asd that they include the text into the picture, so those who seen it, would see who the artist was, and the title of your work, and that they could be found on redbubble.com! / I was hoping the images added would show support for this project, which they have, in a big way! My friend, Diana Moya, is the President of the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco, Texas! She not only loved it, but started working out more details! She visioned it in every city in the local metroplex. North Central Texas, that is! We have plans now for a Flower Power Project Show late February, or early March 2008, for Frisco! We will work to get other cities added to the list, as we get this together! She wanted prices from RedBubble for 100 peices of art! I know she was going to love it, but she dreams bigger than me! But, she has done this many more times than me!She said, We will go get some spouncers! / I had dreamed of building a calloge with the images that were printed by the artist, that could afford to do so! I hoped we would find ways to help get others involved too! (But, I had made plans to build a virtual calloge, if that was all we could do!) / I had figured most artist could supply us with the smalls, and the mediums prints, mounted on foamboard, and laminated! To start building the calloge from all the pictures we could get from artist! Figured the large would be picked by the group for best, and have them printed by the artist who could do so! I had hoped that the best, would be able to at least print, mount on foamboard, and laminate! For protection, ease of hanging, and uniform look to calloge, at very little cost, again! But, could be used for promotion around town in stores, the mall, anywhere it was approved! To draw attention, for the artist, as well as the show! They would hang for promotion, and added to the calloge, just before the show! Where they will be rounded up, and put in the spaces saved for them in the calloge! It was a little more promotion, as cheap as we could do it! / Those picked best, who could afford more, like framing, or canvas, supply work without text, and we would tag below their work! Those would be in windows pointing towards foot traffic, through out the New Frisco Square! 30-40 might be even more! / I was working with others on RB, and had T shirts in the works too! I had even thought about putting the images into a book, as well! It is all up to the group, what all we make, or whatever we sale! It was my only hope to promote all involved, and hoped the groups would work together, for the benefit of the artists community, at large! / Diana Moya, never stops to surprize me, and her passion for Art is amazing! She is very talented herself, and know a lot more than me! I have learned lots from her, and from being involved with the VAGF! I am only a member, but volunteer my time when I can to help! It has been very rewarding, in many different ways! I hope this helps clear up what I wanted to do! Like before, if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask! But, some details will still be developing as we work this all out! I hope you will contribute what you can, because its your involvement that makes this project! I am just the guy with the Dream, you are the ones who are making them come true! So, thanks for your beleiving! This would not be happening without your talents, your support, and your passion! / If everybody agrees, I would really like the project dedicated to those eho served, and helped protect your Freedom! If you are with me stil, please add the tag ( troops)to your images! I truely have the most amazing friends, and am blessed to have each and every one! I love you, Man! / Your friend, Big D! aka Darrell M. Moseley

Dear friend, this is a reply I wrote and thought you might want to read it yourself! Please forgive my spelling, or grammer, or ramblings! * / Amy, I will tell you what I did! I got involved with the (VAGF) Visual Arts Guild of Frisco, Texas! I was told by the President, Diana Moya to keep going public with my work! I had little money but keep adding work into their shows, when I could! I got involved and helped with shows as well, which gave me some insights of gallery operations! Which was very rewarding, from just being involved! It starts getting your work seen, and making connections within your own community, as well as with other artist! / My best inspiration has come from entering contest! I got third place, out of over 500 plus enteries! I got a check for $750.00, plus Frisco Frog, and Old Windmill, will be in the New NYLO Hotel, sometime soon! Will be on their website too, which both should help drive some sales, or get my name out some more! / I just had two more up at the new Capitol One Bank, which got my work seen a little more! This was with the VAGF, and set the way for presenting the Flower Power Project! This has given me the title of Project Chairman! This means I am now in charge of more! But this is going to be cool! I know somebody in Frisco, Texas if that ever helps you! I am a hopeless dreamer, and really believe if you want to do it, follow your dreams, the best that you can, with being true to your heart! It does not happen overnight, and is still aways off for myself, but I am very passionate because I am living a Dream! Amazing artists have contributed their own wonderful expressions, to help my Dreams come true! I am blessed to have the amazing friends I have, and could not do this without them! / Best of Luck, from your friend, Darrell M. Moseley aka Big D! ** / Thought you might ! I am a Big dreamer, who has been living a dream because of people like yourself who have contributed to The Flower Power Project! I am very / hopeful that what I have to say is worth your reading! Words are hard to say sometimes, but I love you, Man! I have faith this is going to be Great, but thats only with the continued support of all my amazing friends!! / I have been told they will have 20 booths for artist to display any of their work, but please remember this is for the family! Booth Rentals willl be $300.00! Not sure if their are any artist that would like to want a booth, send me a bubblemail! / I do know what all the details are yet, but anybody who would like to know more, I will post as soon as I get it! Diana will be sending lots more of information to me, soon! / I have to work on letters, and need to go for now, myself! But, I encourage you to design a few T shirts, that we might can fasion show ourselfs as a group! REDBUBBLE LINE, with RedBubbles permission! anybody want to get one added add the tags, flower power project t_shirt , Theres a few already!

  • MARGOT KIESSKALT, IS WORKING ON NEXT SCREENSAVER!
    by DarrellMoseley

Thanks to all the Artists, that have contributed to this project, to help make it what it is now! Margot, has begun working on making our first offical screensaver, of the 350 images we have now! She has requested that we make this a cut-off point for the first screensaver! So we are now requesting any work added now, have the tags flower power project screensaver2, to keep the images seperated! We will set the cut-off for this screensaver at 350 images as well! At that point we will request tag screensaver3, and so on! / The choose was given to the Artists, to add their work with, or without text! Some examples were added, by Artists who choose to add their text, which has their name/copyright, title of work, and RedBubble.com! If we are showing the contributions from search, your link can be found, and does not make much of a difference! But when we show as a screensaver, only images with text allows people to see you added the work! But you still can be found, if they do a search after seeing the screensaver! But is not helping with your name recognition, while your image shows! We had given thought of adding images with watermarks! But thought that took away from the images from the placement right across the middle of images! / What we had planned on was setting up four large monitors forming a square, and running a different screensaver on each monitor! Set up in the middle of the room, or hanging from the ceiling! At the time of the Show, with all the contributions added to build the real collage in the space we have in Frisco Square, with the screensavers running as well! Plus all the large images in the windows surrounding the buildings in Frisco Square, along with those hanging in the Library! This means we are still looking for images of flowers, roughly 1,050 for just the screensavers, and all we can get for the collage, and will accept up to the end of this project! I hope you will add some work, consider adding text as well, and tags for the statement you would like it to make, TROOPS, PEACE, LOVE, FREEDOM! / This will also have a Fashion show, with models and a large Runway! It will have 10 different stages for Artist’s who are approved to showcase their work! With live flowers all over the place! There will even be up to 40 booths outside, for others to reserve, who want to set up and show their work! There will even be a Car show! And will even have the Taste of Frisco, with most of the Restaurants involved! This should be Big, and fun for everybody involved, and will even set a World Record before we are done! I hope to take this all across the Globe, and meet many of you, when it comes to a town near you! / I truely hope you will continue to support this project, and beleive it will be a way to promote anybody who is involved, include you in setting the World Record, and make a statement for the Artists Community, at large! I am still looking for images that we can use to build the last three screensavers, as well as add to the collage! It is my intentions to find the support, to get all the images added, in print by the first of February, 2008!

Courier, I cant stop thinking about this, and I am loving the vision that pops into my head! I have shot lots of video, and have always wanted to do something! Since you, contacted me, I am getting more excited and believe I know what that something is now! I want to do this, and truely believe it will be great! Like I had suggested about forming the cars in the shape of a flower in some feild not to far from town! But maybe away enoungh! It would be great if it could be just a little lower, so people could view from above just a little! I can see a news reporter standing next to it, reporting on the mysterious formation, and then the helicoper fly’n over it were you can make out the flower! The Flower Power Project, spread around the town like we talked about! I see the newspaper boy folding the papers the paper, that read something like FLOWERS OVERTAKE MUNDAY! We can involve the town, and turn it into pop-culture event that will put your town on the map again, and have something to keep them coming for many years to come! And you thought you ideal was crazy! I really want to be involved in this, and look forward to doing this soon! I am busy, and maybe you can see if you can find the area to set it up, and take some pictures! If theres a old raod around it that has been closed, so cars could be placed over the road as well, that would be even better, and might even help if the road could use for tourist! Are you with me? Then you could film like traffic jam caused by it, with the local cops, fireman! I would have a ball with this! I would need some help, but you could build the flower out of cars, after you pick where you want to build it! And believe this will be great for everybody involved! I will bring the Flower Power Project when you are ready, and we will have something that will pull them in for miles around, for years to come! One more thing start growing some flowers, because we will need lots of them! Lady Bird Johnson will be proud of your Highways, if you know what I mean! And Billboard’s at both sides of Bypass, say’n Flower Pwer Project coming soon! / / If this aint the crazest thing you ever heard of, but for some reason you love it! I hope so! Hope to hear from you soon! Maybe you can do some of what I am suggesting! Call me, if you want adice, upload some pictures of location! See you soon! Hey, Darrell – I know what you mean and I really think this could be great. Would you believe that the new hi-way has an overpass that TxDOT has used for a model – it’s painted up on one side with a Texas flag, other side with a huge cotton boll, and one overpass has a beautiful, huge US flag and the stripes are 3-D with silhouette pictures of local people making up the strips – its been in the Austin Amrican Statesman, Texas Highway magazine and several other publications. And guess what – there’s an open field and even an old orchard almost right next to the overpass. I made a couple of contacts today but I’m putting out a special section of one of our newspapers next week because our HS football team won the state championship (yea, my son is a senior & started as guard. Awesome). Anyway, this week our whole county came together and hired this really terrific lady to help grow and market our area – I think she’ll flip over this and hopefully we can get lots of help from folks across the county. Give me another week or so to get my special section together and talk to a few more people but I promise I’m not gonna let this slide. I think we need to talk about a target date and few other prelim things really soon. Anyway – this should be FUN. Cynthia

Finally I am getting back in to this and have set myself a project for 2009. The image is that start. I want to create a series of “floral studies” as were created in a number of botanical study guides of the victorian period. I will be posting more works as/when they get done and would love as much feedback as possible. Been perusing the internet for examples and have a few that are giving me pointers (for example the image I have created has too many BIG images – need 1 main image and a number of detail shots that show different parts of the subject. I will post my progress for all to see, and, as always, any comments are gratefully received

Hello all! Not much uploading been going on of late – the more people I meet on RedBubble, the more inspired I become as well as a feeling of great awe – however as a result my portfolio embarasses me somewhat. Still, It’s nearly May, so it’s nearly time to be starting my project! I also need to source some lily of the valley for an arrangement – another thing I ought to pursue a bit more I think: flower arranging. A bit old ladies in churches but I’m sure there’s probably some elite competition level for it or something – anyhow, it’s fun and arty. In fact, the artier the better. The arrangements you can buy from the larger, most commercial companies are shockingly boring. I mean, they’re nice but not terribly special looking. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, the May project. I’m thinking I need a snappier name for it too. And a shinier camera. I think it may be time to start looking sweetly at my avid photography friends. Hehe :) Meanwhile, I’ve been trying to take decent shots of my cat. However, she’s not really the posing type and like human hair, black cats ‘behave’ differently in the light than white cats do. Translucent, glowing quality? Dang, it’s hard to get any contrast at all in any light – forget the fact she won’t sit still long enough for me to find out! Ah well…I can but hope. Very inspired by this guy’s work / it’s rather exciting. Not to mention finding the shots in the first place must be an adventure in itself! Makes me think I should go for a ramble and see if I stumble across something fantastic for my project. Still got a few days to fill which don’t have anything particularly specific. Check back soon! :) xxxxx

(Say that three times in a row as fast at you can…!) Thank you to everyone who supports me and voted for my design The Flowers of the Field in the Fabulous T’s Spring T-Shirt contest Spring & Spring Colors! Wooo hooooo…..Thank you lovely Redbubble Contest Winner Spokesperson! That was a lovely welcoming for me into the Spring season and greatly helps counter my sneezing and itchy eyes! ;D It brought a smile to my face and was a wonderful surprise. It’s definitely the little things in life that stand out and mean the most. / So thanks for the smile and encouragement. / I have quite a few new projects and art pieces that I will be posting soon, so keep your eyes out for them. I hope you are enjoying your Spring too. Awake, thou wintry earth - / Fling off thy sadness! / Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth / Your ancient gladness! / ~Thomas Blackburn, “An Easter Hymn” Take care xoxo

Finally it is May – I am so excited! =D I have literally come back inside from taking a TONNE of pictures for the project – Georgie is quite knackered. The thing I love about him is that he has a tendency to make ordinary pictures rather exciting – at least, I’ve got used to him now. The only thing it’s quite difficult to make him do is take a picture of what’s actually there. (Light-wise.) However, I’ve noticed he’s especially less likely to do it if taking macro shots moves back a bit May also be releasing pictures a bit out of sync, that is to say, it’s going to be a tad too diffucult to take every picture on the exact date I planned. After all, when opportunity knocks… So I’ve got a few I might use later on if nothing else emerges. Of course, there may be multiple pictures for multiple days. For example (oooh, a SNEAK PEAK!) the first three days are the last three days of Floralia, and ancient Roman Festival of Flora, Goddess of Flowering and Blossoming Things. =P / And May is clearly all about flowers =D / Of course, I want to get some portraiture in – I’ve developed a considerable interest in nostalgic-type photos…innocence perhaps? Unfortunately, pictures of myself take a certain deal of time to set up, and are EXTREMELY hard when getting anything more than my face or something. (I need my Lollie.) I also have the curious desire to take adorable pictures of little girls and daisy chains or something =3 / (No kiddies here though) / I’m planning to get some other people to pose for me but that’s shockingly difficult…wish me luck snaring brass band later in the month!! More soon xxxx

Well, who knows who is reading this, but hey, the exams (in part, but not exclusively) have quietly ravaged my ability to keep up to date with the project, not to metion lack of skill and lack of immediate resources. Most dates have multiple pictures and the other plan was to merge them all into a book – currently, this would appear to be the best way of presenting my shots as while they are all alright, few hold together of their own accord, and none seem to be provoking any response (despite the fact the only one’s up are not all or necessarily the best). / I also seem to be taking a lot of flowers, and as I’m not even half as good as dear Ingz and her absolutely stunning pics (we love you Ingz!) I fear I should back off! XD / Moreover, forget-me-nots have been INCREDIBLY hard to get hold of. I’m halfway to trying to buy them at a garden centre or something as I love them so, but the only place where I’ve seen them this month is alongside the road up to school (the WRONG side) and in a flower bed, bang-slap in the middle! Difficult times for the self-conscious, too-young-to-die photographer! =P / I’ve got a couple of okay ones on black or Lollie-shaped backgrounds, but nothing to write home about, so to speak. Alas, the poor, short-lived things may be gone by the time I get back, let alone try to snap again. Ah well. (Beware, increased poetic rambling may occur beyond this point) May is nearly over now however, just around eight days and then it will be June. As far as I’m concerned, it turns summer. It smarts of tourists frying themselves into yellow beaches. And what has May been? Just a touch of spring it seems, gone so fast much like everything else. Waited for, adored, reveled in but still, impossible to hold on to; it’s Time. It’s seems almost like I missed it, trying to look at every day and see the significance of May in them. Even on my favourite day the glimpse of joy was fleeting under a cloudy sky. / Of course, each day is what you make it, but we are not the only things alive – and all these living things come awakened fresh into the spring, not yet lazily drunk on summer’s mellow fruitfulness, but born freely, brightly into the youthful sunshine. To move out of spring, is to long for it, yearning to be young again, yet while it is here, all is new. / And hurrah for that. =) To the singular inspiration ^^
