Peter Hill and I visited the Botanical Gardens in Sydney on Sunday for some photography. I wanted to show this path from….well, a ducks point of view when lo and behold who should just waddle straight through shot, Mr duck and friends. This one was bringing up the rear. Didn’t quite catch it in the line of focus but I quite like the way it blends in as it does. Canon EOS 5D / Canons Lens EF 85mm 1:1.2 L II USM / F/1.2 / Exposure 1/1000 sec. / Metering Mode: Pattern / Exposure compensation: -1 step. Thanks for looking – best viewed large. Cheers Crispin. . /
Nature’s Street Lighting © Vicki Ferrari For Ants and backyard bugs! / This a dandelion from my back yard, taken in April 2005. It looks like it was suspended from the sky (I think I may have been holding it up so in that case, it was suspended!) A pity that our overhead city lighting could not look as pretty, aye?! :)) / Vicki Purchase Card / Purchase Mounted Print / Purchase Laminated Print / / Tech / Nikon D70 / Nikkor 28-105 / Photoshop (originally uploaded as Dandelion Suspended ©) / (then re uploaded as Nature’s Street Lighting on / 20th September 2009)

Sometimes shooting outside the “golden hours” can really highlight the vibrancy of the tropics…......hope you like this one :-) Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, August 2009
Bird Island, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, USA The only way to really capture the vibrant blues of the tropics is to shoot outside the golden hours. After capturing this we watched manta rays gliding through the reef from above, not the place to be when one is a diver, though they are incredibly beautiful to see :-)) 33 C 89% humidity
This is the Sunken Garden in Bouchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C., Canada. The Sunken Gardens are absolutely gorgeous and I was blessed to be able to view them at the peak of autumn colors with incredibly beautiful evening light! I’m sure it is equally breathtaking in the spring…but, to be honest, I couldn’t imagine it any more beautiful than it was on our visit!
