While visiting Malmesbury, England, we stayed at the Old Bell. It’s a beautiful and one of the oldest inn’s in the world. This is an Impressionist digital painting of the wisteria growing on the inn. Featured in Digital Artists United group. / /
The first impressionists took advantage of the introduction of premixed paints in tubes where paint is laid on an area of the surface very thickly, usually thickly enough that the brush or painting-knife strokes are visible. / Characteristics of impressionist paintings include visible brush strokes, open composition, emphasis on light in its changing qualities effecting colour, the inclusion of movement as a crucial element of human perception, and unusual visual angles. / Short, thick strokes of paint are used to quickly capture the essence of the subject, rather than its details. The paint is often applied impasto. / Colours are applied side-by-side with as little mixing as possible, creating a vibrant surface. The optical mixing of colours occurs in the eye of the viewer. / My form of impressionism starts with digital photography and I then develop this into my own art form and exploit the aspects of the digital painting medium embracing and showing the painterly aspect, rather than trying to hide the act of creation. My work is hand painted digital painting and is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer. / I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.

There are more than 6 billion human beings on Earth. According to the population estimates released by the United Nations, the 6 billion mark was reached on October 12 1999. I a small town, in a small flower shop there was a rose. / It had been waiting for a buyer. / I noticed it by chance when passing by. / It had already dried a little when I brought it home. / I had never painted a flower before. / I reached to it with a paintbrush and a story revealed itself to me. A story of noticing. Thank you for noticing! oil painting, original size: 156cm x 79cm

Painting by Dorina Costras / Acrylic on canvas / 54/58 cm / Original for sale __________ “The leaves grown dark / By the autumn wind fall / Cover the ground, / Cover your body, / The wrapping of your being / That hides your true ego. / The warm dew of your eyes flows, / Nothing is there to wait for her, / It gets lost in the void, / Nothing needs their torpor. / Glitter in the sun / That passes through your body / And immerses it in candid dazzle, / The night is coming, the Orient is dancing, / Whirling in his veils, voluptuous dance / Wraps the world. / .And the wood that contains you, / Oh my goddess. And all is mystery, / Possible enigma, incomprehensible fear.” Gothica – The Pure Nymph lyrics

A kiss from a rose on a sunset night, / As we wrap into lovers embrace. / A kiss from that rose as homeward we go, / To a bed clothed in satin and lace. A kiss from a rose on a sunset night, / With passion and warmth do we grasp. / A kiss from that rose that blossoms and blooms, / My hand in her labour pain clasp. A kiss from a rose on a sunset night, / That wanton and curvy young bride. / A kiss from that rose that huddles our babe, / So loving, in motherly pride. A kiss from a rose on a sunset night, / Without whom I’d not shared my life. / A kiss from that rose who selflessly filled, / The place of my darling rose wife! anaisnais© More illustrations of this work : All Origional art work can be purchased through the artist. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Copyright notice: / All rights reserved.
