This ia a montage of photos that I have taken over the past few years. / I made this one in PSP after I edited each photo onto a raster layer and made into a tube. The butterflies are tubes that I downloaded and added to the photo. This one took about four hours to complete, but I reall liked the way it turned out. / /

Photo-manipulation using Corel Paint Shop Pro…duplicated original image…turned that layer into b&w at a 92% opacity and removed the background of the flower. A bit of an experiment, this one. Haven’t really done much photograph layering before, this is my second one (“Beautiful” being my first), it was fun but man it took AGES! This is a photo of my daughter, supposedly walking amongst butterflies and foxgloves. All photos my own, except for the butterflies, sourced from Comteche stock: Layered in Photoshop Elements 2.0. Kodak Easyshare CX3700 point and shoot camera used for my photos.

If you’ve ever watched a butterfly, they don’t stay in one spot for very long. This one was constantly on the move, first right, then left, then upside down. This image represents that kind of pattern and the design in my head was like time elapsed memories of every place that the butterfly stopped to feast. / Background image was filtered thru dreamy image, the second image was the butterfly and flower cutout and mirrored and I used the blend modes to fade it to where it was a little bit brighter. Then I took the same cutout and turned it upside down, which was the last position that I saw the butterfly in and left it bright. I then used the smudge tool and the dodge tool to add definition to the flower. Original image taken in my garden in Shady Cove, Oregon

This was originally supposed to be a “Happy Holidays” image to all of my wonderful RB friends here…..but then somehow it called out for this sort of darker title and processing…LOL…Well, I still wish you Happy Holidays!!! Thanks to everyone who has supported me so thoroughly!!!! You are GREAT!!!!
