This piece came to me after a pretty good day. I wanted to put down how I felt in my head; dreamy, light hearted, postitive and colourful! I really love the colours in this picture and the floating bubbles really capture a great moment. I wish my whol elife was like this.
This is some MidEastern/East Indian work of mine that I thought would look spiffy.
a floral diplay of colors.

Leilani in Dinghy on River was created on textured canvas paper using an array of mediums including ink, pastel, acrylics and charcoal. The original painting is a little bluer in hue, I have digitally altered Leilani in this image, to encourage the green tones.
As requested
Frangipani Fresh is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, i enjoyed doing this one very much…..quick strokes with the ink and lots of watered down acrylic, so it was inklike…...also charcoal. One day i was in this groovy little shop in Byron Bay and an english tourist was chatting to the shop owner, i had to try not to giggle, because they were raving about how gorgeous these little wooden frangipanis were that float in the water as a display…...BUT the shop lady was calling them FRANGI-PANGIS (frangee-pangees)....omigosh, so funny!!! /
Phoebe card / taken from an original Mixed Media Production / by Karin Taylor from the Beach Series The original painting was actually sold to a lovely friend of mine who teaches at my son’s school…..she has twins and one of them is named Phoebe! I had named the painting before she ever saw it…it wasn’t until after she’d purchased it that she told me about her daughter!

This is my Springtime Birds again cleaned up and this time without text. Gouache & Pen on Watercolour Paper.
23.5” x 30” / pen and ink work / on Arches cotton paper 200 lbs. / finished in August 2009
5”x7” This is a handmade card I created with Koh-I-Noor woodless colour pencils, water based ink brush pens, oil pastel and gold metallic ink on Canvas Paper. The eye of the bird is actually a very tiny glass green bead. This creation is partly inspired by The Golden Bird by The Brothers Grimm ”...As the clock struck twelve he heard a rustling noise in the air, and a bird came flying that was of pure gold; and as it was snapping at one of the apples with its beak, the gardener’s son jumped up and shot an arrow at it. But the arrow did the bird no harm; only it dropped a golden feather from its tail, and then flew away…” / Read the entire story here I do love fairy tales and even more so, fantastical creatures, I hope you enjoy this one… Carrie Collect the whole series… / You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /
