Hand drawn A2 image on cartridge paper with a G-Tec C4 0.4 pen probably took about a year to do, but I don’t pay attention to the time or the drawing until it is nearly complete. Just been looking to buy some more pens and found out the drawn line is only 0.2mm! Featured in Works on Paper winner of the Patterns challenge in Finks in Ink

BRITISH WILDLIFE SERIES This is the last of my older works (I think) / Swan Splash was done about 20 years ago / One of my first pen and ink drawings in this / style. / I have done this piece about 5 times for / exhibitions over the years (different sizes and / slightly different details) but this is the original / that only I have. A marriage of Apophysis (flowers and “butterflies”), photography (grass and sky) and a roller ball drawing on cartridge paper – all my own. Combined in PSP Elements 2.0 with a layer of texture. Kindly used with permission as part of the Bubblers portraits group. / I did not try for a true likeness this time, but rather an essence I hope (hence the title). It seemed appropriate to use as part of my Asian series as Alexandra’s detailed and delicate paintings/drawings always remind me of Japanese Art. I hope to use the reference picture again.
