This is my favorite photo of all! There is a wild red rose by my kitchen door. Late one afternoon, I was clipping tired blooms from the clusters; some clusters were hanging down. As I reached for this one to turn it over, a glimpse of gold flashed in the low sun. I looked again and discovered this tiny little frog napping in the heart of the bloom. I had only the negative and a small digital file from a scan, and it has taken me a month to get it into the appropriate high-resolution format where I can finally offer it for sale! Red Tulips..Taken in my mums back garden, i kept the background nice and natural because i think everyone does flower shots with black or white/ plain backgrounds and this makes the image a little different

This is a macro of the inside of a flower, but please don’t ask me which one because I have no idea what it was. LOL Scott said it looked like candy corn so the name was born. Candy corn for those of you that don’t know is a rocket ship shaped candy that is three different colours; red, yellow, and white I do believe. For those of you that may wonder, I did not manipulate this photo in any way other than to crop a bit off to get this to RB dimensions.

/ / / original pencil drawing ...stayed up very late drawing “Nature’s Child”... you know when it’s time for a baby to be born, i think it’s very similar with art… the inspiration just comes when it’s ready…and sometimes that means drawing til 3am like i did with this one. ...the drawing took about 3 hours, and the digital colouring took about 5 hours today. ...inspired by some fantastic eyes i’ve seen lately, (drawn by people on RB) and the dear little willy wagtails…they are so cheeky…they aren’t authentic in colour here, because they are always black and white with little markings above the eye…but i have put their essence into the work hopefully. I think this is my favourite so far :) /
