  • A shot of some flower stems and buds that reminded me of space and the cosmos. And then of CS Lewis and his Space Trilogy, for some reason. I have yet to read it. This photo is seen in two of my calendars – please take a look at them! / Everyday Mysteries A Bouquet

  • Kind of a fun one…. I had this idea of the petals falling into the water, than I thought of put my friend in there. He says… “She loves me, she loves me not, she loves me!” Pretty cute, hey….:-) / / Used Photoshop to blend the two images and cut the petals off and rearrange them. This reminds me of September because of the song “Will I see you in September”. He’s hoping she still loves him. Hope you like! Add me to your watch list now

  • Featured in – The Birds, February 7, 2009 I can’t help but dream of summer, and much warmer temperatures, when I look at this image. This piece consists of 6 layers (the background, 5 different layers of pretty lavender blooms, and an adorable little american goldfinch). After merging all of the layers in PhotoShop I digitally painted the entire piece in Corel Painter X. My intent with the goldfinch was to make her look like a baby, that had just left the nest, and was still looking for Mom to bring her some food. / / Fine Art Gallery / Bird Gallery / ADD RENEE TO YOUR WATCHLIST

  • / / Framed Print Sweet Rosie / made from paper, pencils, charcoal, marker pen and stuff like that :) Here is a new one from my “Connections” series, all done with lots of dry media. This one is about the connection we have with our loved ones, roses always speak volumes about beauty, love, romance…......and wanting to connect…...what happens we we give and receive roses, why do we give and receive them…..it’s really sentimental stuff…..ahh where would we be without all that roses say for us, through us, about us, to others :) I hope you like my “Sweet Rosie”.....these roses are for you :)

  • Spring can offer the nature lover and the photographer some wonderful opportunities after a long dull Winter. I saw this amazing display of Spring crocus in full bloom in the grounds of Dartington Hall, near Totnes in Devon and just had to get a few frame-filling shots of them. With the tripod set very low and a small aperture to maximise the depth of detail, this is one of the shots I managed. • Art, it is what it is. Just a quick painting done mostly with a napkin, my fingers and a knife. Acrylic on canvas with more of a watercolor effect – done very quickly and very roughly. A little something to clear my mind. Less is sometimes more. /

  • I also experimented with this image in photoshop. I cut, cropped and merged two flowers from two different pictures together. I dusted them lightly with clouds (photoshop brushes) of different colors, basic brushes, special effect brushes and sharpened the image (filter gallery). I also altered the color (filter forge) and detail. Then I added swirls and leaves (more photoshop brushes) and added some style to it. I love the way this came out!!

  • Mixed Media (Watercolor, gouache, graphite and colored pencil) on board, / 9×15 / 2009 Model: Tamia M“ When I thought I was unable to work in soft colors, I got this. It’s a kind of simplicity I’ve been pursuing for a long while. hope you all enjoy it.
