I’m going through my old files and found this of a hibiscus stamen. I love hibiscus, especially the stamen because it’s fuzzy and reminds me of fuzzy lolipops haha. Anyway, I took this with my sigma 105mm macro lens. Enjoy!

My mom’s passion was Missouri’s wild flowers, / her goal in life was to try to save Missouri’s fast / disappearing wild flowers and heritage flowers / that had been brought in by the first settlers. / This is a memory painting of wild phlox [ sweet / william ] and wild verbena. They use to grow / along side all rural roads, Mom had them / planted all the way down the hillside leading to / the creek behind our house. This painting is a / tribute to her memory.
