More Gerberas – difficult to leave these flowers alone:) / /

Single purple gerbera daisy with bubbles and mirrored reflection.

A wonderfully coloured pastel gerbera all peachy pink and fresh with raindrops! Macro photography is something that I am most passionate about!!! The entry to my home has wonderful lighting in the early morning so this is a fave place for me to photograph flowers. The lighting coming in from the frosted glass on my entry doors creates beautiful soft lighting!

Another view of the same delightful gerbera that I posted a few days ago. Underneath can be quite beautiful as well. Macro photograph taken with aperture priority. The lighting is perfect for these type of shots just inside my front door entry. With crystal leaf glass in my front doors providing a beautiful and soft muted light for these flowers. Usually before 7.30am the light is good, any later and it fades quite dramatically. Macro photography is my passion!!!

fabric/acrylic/oil on canvas This was painted from a photograph by Tracy Wallace entitled ‘Reaching’. I’m very grateful to Tracy for allowing me to use her image. I hope I did it justice. Original now sold and I have a commission based on this.

This is a little something I threw together when my peach colour Gerbera had passed its prime. Waste not want not, my mum used to say. Feeling quite creative I scattered the petals in a black bowl, add a dash of water and voila…....gerbera abstract!! LOL!

A bright Gerbera daisy… couldn’t resist spraying it with water…

Spring is finally here….
-
I had concepts like “solitude”, “loneliness” in mind when I shot this.
-
Commissioned after client saw Gerbera I. I added more petals in fabric in it’s construction than the first one and I painted it in acrylic and coloured pencils to give it a different feel/texture.
-
This orange Gerber daisy on an orange/white background reminds me of Halloween, pumpkins, football season and homecoming corsages, and the bright colors of fall foliage.

Gerbera, cropped.
