Red Tulips..Taken in my mums back garden, i kept the background nice and natural because i think everyone does flower shots with black or white/ plain backgrounds and this makes the image a little different

The life story of a Welsh Poppy! / Background and textures include (1) raindrops on window pane, (2) car sun/roof light window and (3) swiss roll baking tray. / I am not very good with verse/poems so please be kind! Dreaming dreams / Winds blow… / We bend shimmering with grace. / Buzzing bees / Shimmy through stamens… / brushing anthers showering pollen. / Yellow / Petals fall silently softly gently / littering the ground… / New beauty emerges / A summer crown… / Soon black seeds fall like rain / We dream the future. Some of the poppies before I cut them out – this time I only used the magicwand and eraser.

This sweet flower girl portrait started with an image of my daughter and took several hours to complete. Several layers of florals and vines, in various transparencies, embossing effects and textures were added. I also did air brushing, oil brush work, and drew in all of the hair by hand. This work of art was completed using Corel Painter X and Photoshop. / Crop (right eye detail): / / Crop (left eye & floral detail): / / Fine Art Gallery / Portraits – Digital Photo paintings / ADD RENEE TO YOUR WATCHLIST
This took six hours to create. Was it worth it? I’m not too sure myself but I’ll let you decide. The flowers were created from a single petal as a separate 18 layer image. This was then flattened and brought into the main image where the stems, leaves, texture and background were added.

Photoshop Design – For this creation I used one of my pictures from a small bushland near by and I tried to draw a face from a wolf. I mirrored the left side :) To get these grungy effects with colors I used a couple of textures, gradients, filters, blend modes and layer styles. About 6 hours of work…it’s not perfect, but I hope you like it. :) Was featured in: / “The Patchwork” / “Enchanting Powerful Photo Manipulation” / “Animal Composites & Fine Art” / “Spirit of the Native American” Was sold as poster on: 11/12/2009 All rights reserved! © 2009 Diverse Pixel / Please do not use my images without permission. This image began as an experiment in lighting. I went to the craft store and picked up this “fake” flower and some textured paper. Grabbed a couple of lamps and started to play, LOL. Now you know what I do when I’m severely bored, haha!

This is what I saw in my mind’s eye, when I framed the picture in the viewfinder. My eyes and brain knew it was greens and browns but that part of my brain that really sees things showed me this. Blues, ice crystals, winter on its way….I REALLY LOVE this!!! Edited in Photoshop Elements 3. / /
