My favourite rose in my garden. Every bloom is a different shade of color… it is just divine!
My boy named this – I asked “what does that look like?” “Sore sore” why? “it’s bleeding”. When I got my Canon PowerShot A640 in the early Summer of 2007 I started taking various shots in the backyard. This image of a purple Iris was one of the first macro shots I had ever taken, and definitely one of my most popular images here on RedBubble. It was named Iris’ Tongue because it looked to me like it was sticking out it’s “tongue”. / / “Iris’ Tongue II” has been shown as a part of the Flower Power Project Exhibition in Frisco, Texas. / / “Iris’ Tongue II” is available in all print formats offered by RedBubble. / / / / / / / / Check out more of my art from these categories: / Holiday Cards / Abstracts / Sketches / Birds / Seascapes/Landscapes/Sunsets / / Subscribe to art updates / Subscribe to T-shirt updates / Become a fan on FaceBook / Add me as a friend on FaceBook / Follow me on Twitter _____________ /

Red Tulips..Taken in my mums back garden, i kept the background nice and natural because i think everyone does flower shots with black or white/ plain backgrounds and this makes the image a little different
Enjoying taking these droplet photos!

I always think of my Pop when I see poppies. He was an awesome grandparent and loved to make us laugh. One of his tricks was to pretend to eat big fat snails straight out of the garden – horrifying and hilarious to a 5 year old!! He would have loved this garden that I visited in Bridgetown, so this is for Pop :))) (And he would have found a snail or two!)
