I have been watching the blackbirds off and on all day… they have this odd little thing they do every few minutes. They suddenly fluff all their feathers and let out a sweet little chirp just before they smooth them down again. I caught this one in mid-fluff. We always think of them as being ‘black’, but their feathers are varied colors of cobalt, electric and teal blues and even have some deep purple tones, as well. They have very pretty plumage. A fresh timid smile, with a slightly flirtatious look! This is a studio shot of my friend Lisa Bolduc, a young and talented photographer that I met last September at my workplace. We are both attending the same photography school as well, and last week, Lisa has kindly accepted to model for me during a class project on studio portrait. Lisa has recently opened a RedBubble account, but she has started a new job lately, and has moved to another address, so she has yet to complete her profile and upload some photos. Focal length 45mm / ISO-100 / Aperture f/14 / Shutter 1/125 sec.
