A panoramic stitch of Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station and CBD. Stitched in Adobe Photoshop CS3 using Photomerge. Tripod was setup in portrait orientation and merged 3 shots. Cropped it a fair amount to get a 3:1 panoramic ratio. Click here for my other images of Melbourne

The golden light of a winter’s afternoon in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia.
Mixed Media on Canvas. I grew up in South Australia. As a child we would visit the Flinders Rangers. It always seemed like a magical place to me. This mixed media is almost abstract in its interpretation and execution as it features a lot of splattering and tipping my palette onto the canvas.

First light on the rocks at Ladt Barron on Flinders Island.
A typical old fenceline you’ll found in many parts of the Australian outback, often looking as old as the country it runs within.

Under the Clocks was where everyone met at Flinders Street. This meant both people who were waiting for a specific person, or in some cases people who were just cruising around. This was taken on my way home from work, and I was attracted by the light and shade. / There was a full scale map of the metropolitan area which my main figure is examining, and then over the entrance are clocks indicating for each route the time of the next train, and a small pull down piece under this showing any particular differences or connections with that service
The best over all view of the Flinders Street marshaling yards was obtained from the footpath on the road which went over the Yarra, and the Railway tracks, You stand here and watch trains head through to different station platforms which were at ground level behind you 20091215 126 views
Melbourne is a collection of old and new. Melbourne’s heritage has been preserved in the form of buildings such as Flinders Street Station. Melbourne’s southbank and arts precinct has been developed with contemporary sculptures, architecture and art works. Southgate serves both as a shopping precinct by day and restaurant precinct by night.
A night shoot looking from Southbank towards Flinders Street across the river in Melbourne. A beautiful place to visit and wonderful reflective lights made for a relaxing night of photography. Canon 400D 17-85, three shot pano stitched in Photoshop CS3.
Somewhere on the road between Quorn and Hawker, South Australia, you can pull over and leave the road. Go for a walk into the desert and you can see these dead gum trees.
