“This pretty pony kept me enthralled for a long time. His endearing face and sweet eyes were a delight to watch. Displaying an amusing curiosity, he kept me company for a long hour. He seemed to enjoy posing for me. / / His luxurious flaxen mane an the coppery hue of the eyelashes are true natural beauties. His amber eyes reflect a kind spirit. With a friendly push of his velvety muzzle he asked me for carrots. / / When I bade him good-bye, he swayed his graceful neck and flowing mane and happily trotted back to his red barn.” / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. “Watching this pretty pony’s sweet face kept me enthralled for a very long time. His curiosity was amusing and he actually liked to pose for me. He kept me company in the golden afternoon hours, offering me his pretty profile and luxurious mane playing with the wind. I could capture many instances of his facial expressiveness. / / Here, the pony’s mane brushes the wind while a spark of sheer amber arises from the inquisitive eye. Luscious eyelashes in a fiery copper hue frame the sweet glance of this quiet friend. A true delight of natural beauty” / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. I just wanted to show you all how pretty Flo is! But of course i would say that! :o)
Back in the summer we got a 2 year old called Jake. He is still a big (16.2h) baby and was always chewing what ever he could get hold of. Unfortunatley he got hold of Flo’s mane and chewed a great big chunk out of the middle of it and we had to pull it!! / It is everyones individual preference but we liked hers au natural and let it grow. It is slowly getting back to how it was! / Jake then decided to chew her tail and Hectors tail! Luckily he has stopped this now :o) It was all new to us, we had never had a horse so young – we know for next time!
We lay up on the golden sands – I got my equipment out Sony A100 / Sony kit lens
Can’t wait ‘til they’re grown! / She will not grumble - / Lov’r and she – soon rumble! She would hear weddin’ bells / A Gown and bridal v…

Taken on a hike through a grassy field at the top of the hills overlooking the Pacific ocean in Carpinteria, CA. There was a dream-like quality to the honey-colored, flaxen grass. What a pleasure it is to find oneself alone in such a place!
One of my favourite horse colours is chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail, as shown by this cute little guy. Hope you like it :) You can get this shirt in a number of different colours and sizes. Click on ‘preview’ above to play with all of the options that are available!
Taken on Macro, as taken.
