  • Maybe you’d guessed from the title, but David Bowie’s ‘Ashes to Ashes’ was a major [tom] influence on this shot. The video for the song was the most expensive in the world at that time – $250,000 – and featured some of the most extreme image manipulation ever seen. Rather than the solarized pink of the ‘dozer procession’ scene, I opted for a colour infrared palette to recreate the look and feel I wanted. “My mother said, / to get things done, / you’d better not mess with Major Tom”

  • this image is of a flat fish i found washed up on the beach at st. andrews. a combination of time, tide, abrading sand and other wild life was wearing the fish away.

  • encoustic art piece / 15×9,5 cm Encoustic art is art where you work with coloured wax blocks that you melt on a flat iron. You can by special paper (witch is a bit like the kind of paper you use to print pictures on) when the wax melts you apply it on the paper and start ironing. That is the base technique, than you can also use a sort of solder to actually draw lines with. Like I did with the art pieces Silver Bird of Passion, Ferry of the mountain, A mountains tale etc. etc. It takes time to make art pieces so patience is a virtue (big smile) stil I love to work with this art stile. The only down side of it is, that it is wax, so when you put the original in a frame and you put the art piece in a sunny spot at home, it could melt. But then again if you put it in a hall way or something you can enjoy it for a long, long time :). pr.
