The calcenerite cliffs overlooking Darby Beach at Wilsons Promontory are geologically distinct from the granit dominated prom forming some very different rock formations from anywhere else in the area. The sections of the salt flats have been divided up to make these rather odd geometric shapes. The colours of the water against the pans of salt make for incredibly interesting aerials from a plane.

A dangerous area of coastline in bay bulls during low tide. It was near this area that we found a chunk of iceberg washed up onto the rocks which we carried back home to make “Pinnacle Tea.” / (Journal about Pinnacle Tea coming soon)

Today 12/19/08, is Julie’s Anniversary. It is two years today, that she joined our family. We adopted her when she was four years old. She is a black lab/flat coated retriever mix. We never had a Black Lab before, but we tell her we were waiting for the right Black Lab. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Southern IL. Julie is just so sweet, inside and out. A very gentle and kind spirit. Kay, Harley and I all love you. Happy Anniversary Julie, you are a very special lady. Featured in the Our K9 Friend Group – 10/11/09
