Did this back in 2004~ like Light Up My Path, this was done with a reference image too.. i was still a beginner back then.. so the eyes and ears sux but i love the teeth.. the original photo looks better of course.. it’s a japanese guy i think.. i think it’s Gackt.. can’t remember.. dun kill me!! O_O” Vector drawn in Flash.. i suck at illustrator.. too lazy.. hehe.. / and since i’ll still be busy with stupid html proj till the end of the week, i’ll just be uploading some of my older stuffs.. hold tat rotten tomatoes!!! aAARgghH!!! Have you ever been nervous about somebody taking pics on You? haha Here I am taking pics on myself .. making myself nervous .. however an Idea born while I was doing “I life in the past” photograph it shows me perfectly how I could look like when I am trying to catch the best possible angle on somebody. / The image is made with a bit different technique because merged out of four sectors.. so it is wider and a little like a fish eye.. but I found that making pics with humans on them in that way that is very nice for landscape .. could become a big problem in post processing. Inspired by the poetry of Jim morrison AWAKE / credits grindhouse29 From a series where I work to express the deepest emotions, both positive and “negative”. Armed with my Nikon D300 and a flashlight ro build the first layer. From this layer I create several new layers and merge to a composite. Lyrics AWAKE / Shake dreams from your hair / My pretty child, my sweet one. / Choose the day and choose the sign of your day / The day’s divinity / First thing you see. / A vast radiant beach in a cool jeweled moon / Couples naked race down by it’s quiet side / And we laugh like soft, mad children / Smug in the wooly cotton brains of infancy / The music and voices are all around us. Choose they croon the Ancient Ones The time has come again Choose now, they croon Beneath the moon Beside an ancient lake Enter again the sweet forest Enter the hot dream Come with us Everything is broken up and dances.

I’ve been wanting to do this shot for ages, but only just managed to get some “lightstands” that work! A tribute to the Strobist himself in Lego. First image is almost untouthced and created with long exposure with a flashlight. Second layer is worked in CS. Both blended and mixed in CS. For the image on the main layer I try to keep the Photoshop-work to a minimum to not loose the ethereal energy the method some times captures. Thank you for stopping by. / ...roy
