Just loved this flower, it just popped out at me. /
The so-called ‘windowed’ fractals have become very popular recently in the fractal art circles I travel, and I wanted to try my hand at it. Problem was, I never could get the clean, compartmentalized look that many other Apophysis users achieved, in spite of trying a handful of different scripts and tutorials. So, I decided to open up the program and attempt one by hand. Instead, I wound up breaking out of the windowed mould, using the style as a base and then letting the ‘flame’ part of the flame-based fractal jump out on top of it. Made in Apophysis 2.06c.

The most stunning hour is an hour before dawn… nature starts to wake up…birds start singing… and ocean awakens as well… This is the magical light that wakes him up… It can be red, pink, orange even magenta… Ocean likes them all. And at once he starts to gather strength to cheer the Sun on its rising with big waves, but that’s another story :) Tamarama Beach, Sydney, Australia Nikon D80, Nikkor 12-24 Featured in: / Colour and Light / All Water in Motion
