Sailing up the Niger River, between bowls of rice and fish sauce, we played music on the roof and sang.

/ Sailor Girl is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, I used ink, pastel, and some acrylic…..inks are mainly black, acrylics are mainly white, you can see the canvas texture showing through the pastel, which gives it a nice textured appeal I am really into sailing boats, hope you like this one :D Here’s another one available in a print at last!

The Flat Earth Society / “The facts are simple,” says Charles K. Johnson, president of the International Flat Earth Research Society. “The earth is flat.” He believes that the main purpose of the space program is to prop up a dying myth—the myth that the earth is a globe. “Nobody knows anything about the true shape of the world,” he contends. The sun and moon, in the Johnson version, are only about 32 miles in diameter. They circle above the earth in the vicinity of the equator, and their apparent rising and setting are tricks of perspective, like railroad tracks that appear to meet in the distance. The moon shines by its own light and is not eclipsed by the earth. Rather, lunar eclipses are caused by an unseen dark body occasionally passing in front of the moon. Johnson’s beliefs are firmly grounded in the Bible.

Another in the Masters series. / This is the centre part of a long panoramic watercolour. By Thomas Bush Hardy, 1895. I’ve moved some of the boats to be closer together, as my version is a small painting, 10×7 inches, on rough Bockingford tinted cream paper, 140lb. I will be painting the full length seascape in the future.
The St Andrew Cross (the saltire) formed by two aeroplane contrails. The sun had just slipped below Ben Donich, Argyll. deliberately shot like this to keep the focus on the saltire .

First Contact is imminent. A self portrait when I was about 7 years old and I had read that a beam of light travels forever in space until it hits something. So, with a knapsack for the flashlight and a jacket, my trusty Red Rocket Space Patrol lunchbox (with a peanut butter sandwich, you know, just in case) and my Morse Code emergency signal: 3 short blinks, 3 long blinks, and 3 short blinks, I sent for a starship to take me back where I belonged. Only seven, hadn’t even read any science fiction yet, signaled every night for a week, SO DISAPPOINTED. So now, more than half century later, I have to wonder… is it 3 short blinks, 3 long blinks, and 3 short blinks, or 3 long blinks, 3 short blinks, 3 long blinks… ? (First use of my homemade starry sky)

On my way back home from Balmain yesterday. I had a "great" Idea. Why not hang out of the car, while driving and take a a nice wide angle shot of the Anzac Bridge. / Luckily I didn’t kill myself or trashed $5000 worth of Equipment. / As with everything in life you have to take risks with photography. I think this one was well worth it. All the other 60 Shots I took in the same style weren’t. / Anyway I really enjoyed the thrill. I think I’ll do it more often. Maybe next time as a passenger. Cheers, Alex alexkess.com
Peace Flags provide you with a special way to express some of the most important issues of the heart. In words or pictures, one can convey positive wishes for one’s self, family, friends, community and the World. One may wish to convey something individually concerning health, success, prosperity or affirm a concept one would like to see manifested in the world like peace, cooperation, equality, understanding, compassion and love. Let your imagination connect to what matters most to you. / According to Ancient tradition, prayers printed on the flags are carried on the wind. The traditional flags are blue/ Sky, white/for Air or Clouds, red /for Fire, green/ Water and yellow/ Earth. Carried On The Wind Is Offered For World Peace Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn’t anyone who doesn’t appreciate kindness and compassion…... / Quote from The Dalai Lama Painting using acrylics, inks and enamels – 102×42cm
