  • Where do I start? This one came from the motivation to exemplify a child’s exploratory mind. In reality, the little boy in this painting could be sitting on a small block of wood in the center of a mud puddle in his backyard, but this is what he would see. As adults, when do we lose this creativity? When do we cast aside the backyard adventures of playing cards with mermen while an octopus-like creature seeks to take down our ship? Reality is necessary, but not as a direct replacement for the imagination. Original is 16”x12” acrylic on canvas. Original available. bryandrinkscoffee.com

These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

  • / / Island Dreams Media – pencil and photoshop / Substrate – paper Dedication – to Jack during my recent holiday I had time to relax and meditate, to connect with nature….this is an expression of my impression of Tangalooma. There are dolphins there, with whom i connected daily and a lot of sealife, including birds, seastars, rays, fish…. the original drawing is gifted to Jack, a fellow artist i met on Tangalooma and now friend, who really appreciated this drawing so much, that I felt greatly encouraged….

  • Only a woman would ask this question. It must be one of the grandest challenges for men of maturity to come up with just the right answer. Of course not answering is not an option.
