Nothing better than a spot of late night fishing at a coastal beach in summer. Pt Lonsdale, VIC A thank you to Bidkev for nominating this photo in the Pay It Forward Group. This what Kev had to say. I would like to nominate John Conway’s “Two Mates Fishing” A lot of my favourites are to do with fishing. Nothing settles me more and takes my mind of life’s tribulations than a peaceful day’s fishing. John has captured perfectly, the camaraderie that exists between two mates who have a love of the same pastime. If the sunsets are spectacular, as this one is, then that adds further to one’s enjoyment. This picture simply oozes mateship and peacefulness. Thanks Kev, very much appreciated

This image was created at the Apollo Bay Docks early in 2008, went here for a holiday just as I was getting into Photography. I went down to the docks just as a storm was rolling in and it made for some interesting weather conditions! This pic was created from one raw file. I changed the exposures in Lightroom and then merged 3 images using Photomatix, increased the blue and green saturation levels in Lightroom and added a bit of contrast. This is the result! Completed April 2008. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “All living beings have the Buddha nature and can become Buddhas” / – Buddha Buddha Within illustrates the story of personal awakening. My understanding of the personal awakening process is that when undergoing the final awakening stage, the kundalini (rainbow serpent) becomes an intense fire (red/orange beside the tree trunk) shooting through the spine engulfing the body. The energy (green vortexes) required is enormous. As the kundalini reaches the crown chakra, it fully opens and all earthly limitations drop away. This being is no longer tied to a religion or faith but now embraces them all as represented by the sacred symbols in the tree. The consciousness now resides in the higher self and is one with the universe and all that is. When the transformation is complete sonic waves (the four vertical crystalline waves) travel out into the universe to let all of creation know of the grace that has taken place. All life is naturally drawn to the radiant and divine being that has become pure Buddha consciousness (centre). At each of the chakra points on the Buddha is a Swarovsky crystal in the relevant chakra colour. Crystal magnifies the properties of the chakra energy. / Buddha Within is divided into four quadrants (earth, fire, water, air) and the five elements including precious metals (bottom corners). The red veins dividing the quadrants represent the lower dimension (inner earth). The higher dimension is represented by the white equilateral triangle. If you look closely, you can see the texture of the underlying branches in the tree. These were meticulous painted before adding the covering of leaves. The tree must be complete in the physical, in order to emit the complete energy of the life form. Imbibed in the painting is sand from a sand mandala created by Gyuto Monks. They had spent a week painstakingly building an exquisite sand mandala. Upon its completion the mandala was ceremonially deconstructed and the sand poured into the local river for healing, accompanied by prayer and the blasting of Tibetan ceremonial horns. Some of the sand is held back and distributed to those who attend the ceremony: it holds sacred healing properties. I used some of the sand from this mandala, mixing it in the purple paint used for the crown charka encircling the white triangle and Buddha. Buddha Within is the third in a series and preceded by The Dream and The Awakening.

Its natural domain is from Alaska to Baja, California, and from Maine to Florida. Bald Eagles that reside in the northern U. S. and Canada migrate to the warmer southern climates of the U. S. during the winter to obtain easier access to food, especially fish. Some Bald Eagles that reside in the southern U. S. migrate slightly north during the hot summer months. Pet name Liberty Hatched 1996 Distribution: From Alaska and Canada down to Florida. Diet: Mainly fish but also carrion and various mammals. Bald eagles are very sociable and vocal birds. It was blowing a gale while taking these photos, there was lighting strikes to the far right of the picture, but I wasn’ able to capture any. I didn’t think any of these would turn out any good considering the conditions, so it was a nice suprise to come away with some nice shots. not long after this was taken it started to rain and the people fishing and myself made a mad dash for our cars. all in all a fun afternoon.
