Was finally motivated to finish it for the T-Shirt Revolution Challenge… Here’s a brighter version of the tee: [printing by it’s nature is darker than what you see on screen, but the quality of the tees here at RB are great. I have my Muerte tee and the colour worked out great.]

Ascension is about love and its power. Anahata is the chakra located in the heart region. iI has 12 petals and it is connected to the capacity of loving deeply and also to the feelings of compassion and empathy. It is generally depicted in the color green, but in my mind it appeared in luminous yellow with hints of red. It is through the anahata chakra that we can contact universal love. It is the main point of contact to the so-called “inner Christ” and the upper planes. Other symbols I used to represent the same concept are the water, running upward in a straight blue stripe across the picture, and the fish. The fish is connected to the Pisces sign and also to the primitive Christianity message. Both symbols are related to universal love and compassion. The skull means that loves transcends even death, and leads to a deep transformation. It also has the meaning of the XIII arcane, Death – things that die to give place to other ones, a deeply alchemical experience. The upper figure is representative of a state of ecstasy and bliss conduced by deeply spiritual experiences. When we are able to achieve a full state of love, even for brief moments, we feel like we are connected to something bigger and higher. Experiencing love is also a totally libertarian thing, which I wanted to show through the hawk with open wings emerging from all the violet at the top. It’s only through love that we can transcend our material condition and achieve perfect happiness and fulfillment.

Well, it’s enough to put you off your cocktails for a time, isn’t it? Fear not (and drink up!), it’s just Marcella and her fabulous Conch Carriage out for a drive! And though she tends to dress down on Sundays, you’ll never catch Marcella without her nautilus hat. It’s been rumored that if you offer to buy her a drink, she’ll race a school of groupers for your amusement – quite inexpensive as entertainment goes. The White Queen-Knight’s Pawn / Artist: Jordan Clarke / Biography: Danny The Equilord and his race, though no match for the White King’s enhanced and magically assisted army were no slouches in battle in their glory days before the rise of the Army of the White Wing and the Equilords amalgamation with it. / History will all show the Equilord as a peaceful and enlightened race but not one to shirk away from a battle if needed to defend itself. / The equine based lifeforms had also the knowledge and capacity to perform quite a few battle tricks of their own and it is these that the White King was so keen to have them as valued allies. / One major battle tactic of the infantry was to create illusions bordering on hallucinogenic, these would include the army morphing into schools of Hippocampus (horse/fish) complete with massive waves forming before it. / This of course was affective as any trebuchet or archery onslaught to the hapless foot soldiers usually facing the field opposite them and cause the opposition to scatter in wild flight.
