These two dedicated and undaunted rock fishermen were photographed from Tacking Point, at Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia, on a sunny winter afternoon. The swell was perfect for this kind of break and the light on the rocks was a photographer’s dream. Try as I might and wait as long as I could, I could not get the combination of the fantastic wave break in “Rock Fishermen #2” and the separation of the anglers in this photograph. This is a 11” x 14” acrylic painting on watercolour paper of fishermen at Collaroy Beach in Australia. We were lucky enough to see this enormous wave come crashing in on the pier, which was our catch of the day with the camera!! The anglers did not move and just stood their ground. /
