I feel sharks are peaceful by nature and being over fished, killed by nets, and by finning ( fishermen take all the fins of of the shark and throw the shark back into the water alive and unable to swim, there are no regulatons on this activity). You are more likely to be hit by lightning then to be bit by a shark. Sharks usually only bite because they mistake humans for their favorite food the seal. If people don’t help the shark they will be come exstinct in the near future. I feel they are very graceful creatures and should be protected. Please go to / Sharkwater to find out more on sharks and how they are being mistreated. Half of the mark up amount will go to seashepherd to help to preserve this glaceful creature. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / I painted this black tip reaf shark in acrylic on canvas / Animals / Birds / Drawings / Flowers / Water / Holiday / Paintings / Sunsets / Autumn

The meaning of mandala comes from the Sanskrit word for both “CIRCLE” and “CENTRE” Even though it may be dominated by other geometric shapes like squares or triangles, a mandala will always remain a concentric (CIRCLE) structure. Mandalas offer balancing visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony. The meanings of individual mandalas is usually different and unique to each mandala. For some, the goal of the mandala is to serve as a tool on one’s spiritual journey as it symbolizes cosmic and psychic order. For others, the mandala is used as a counter-balancing mechanism of one’s own psyche, (The spirit or soul) and a way for us to focus or meditate our way into becoming a whole person.
A fishing boat at a pier along the northern coast of California. This is actually the pier where the Alfred Hitchcock movie The Birds was filmed so the swooping birds are appropriate.

Taken the afternoon I picked up my D700 after about 4 hours sleep in 2 days…I was too excited to sleep! Walked out the door of the camera shop and started clicking…and then got even more excited. ...Anyway this is my fish face as spotted on a tree trunk in the street. Say hi to Fred!
Fish food was on sale at the Byodo-In Temple, but from the overwhelming reaction of the fish in their little creek it’s easy to assume that few travellers feed them… instantly this patch of the creek became alive in this swirl of fish that hadn’t otherwise been seen… the tranquilness of the location broken by their isolated frenzy. Porcelain crabs live in sea anamones in tropical waters and are one of my all time favorite underweater photography subjects. I could watch them and their strange feeding behaviours for hours. I was lucky to find two crabs living in this particular anemone in Indonesia. I converted this image to black and white because I thought it gave the image a little more feel.
