A shot of the boats docked at the Sambro, Nova Scotia Government wharf
These were my Great Grandfather’s fishing shacks located in West Pennant, Nova Scotia. Unfortunately the last big storm has taken it’s toll on the old buildings and the main wharf is falling down. I myself have fished from this wharf with my Dad so I find it a very sad thing to see The fog came in the harbour thick today on account of the milder weather so I grabbed this shot If this is not quite what you are looking for you can check out the work of my Fiance “sruhs”http://www.redbubble.com/people/sruhs. We are most often together on photography excursions so his shots are of similar content; however, he has a different perspective and therefore his images are quite different.
If you have a moment I am rather curious about something. I couldn’t decide between two images so I’m uploading both and calling them Peggy’s Cove, NS (1) and Peggy’s Cove, NS (2). Can you tell me which you enjoy the best? Thanks!! Darlene Here’s the other one / /
I was hoping if you have a second you could help me with a bit of curiosity. I couldn’t decide between this shot and the other which is close and has the same name with the exception of being (1) instead of (2). I uploaded both and decided to get opinions if you don’t mind. Thanks! Darlene Here’s the other one / /
A local fisherman shows off his ” catch of the day ”. Paltry excuse for a fish I say ! This image is almost untouched and straight from the camera. Auto colour, contrasts and levels brought everything up a little. A very bright Autumn day took care of the rest.
This was taken near Blomidon, NS, Canada. The tides here move very fast and go wayyy out. The boats work according to the tide, as you can imagine.
Southport Broadwater, Gold Coast. / HDR PS and dragonizer. Best viewed larger.
Sunrise on Provincetown Harbor. Looking out on the water at sunrise, when the streets are empty and only the fishermen and the delivery people are out and about.
Image taken in Sausalito, California several years ago with my trusty Canon SLR film camera. Scanned this one, opened it in Photoshop, but didn’t feel it needed any enhancement. Please don’t copy or download this image. My photos may NOT be reproduced and/or used in any form without my written permission. If you want this photograph, I would be honored for you to purchase it. ©2008 Patricia Montgomery | Bucks Mountain Galleries All rights reserved.

The marina in between the Maritime Museum and Granville Island, in false Creek. Bridges Restaurant is the yellow building in the background – great outdoor patio over looking the water and all the incoming boats. Granville Street Bridge is beyond that and the tall buildings are Yaletown. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful, city!

Yesterday while trying to shoot a non existent sunset ,,and losing my hiking boot in the quicksand slush,I was now covered in a foul smelling black stench ,I was still determined though and sat on the edge of someone’s Private property and waited and waited but nothing was going to happen .I could hear these two old timers on the wharf talking about there days of fishing and good times ,chuckling to myself,Yes I live in pensioner heaven, These two fish off their wharf most days and always let me go there to take photo’s.The ominous blue black clouds were on there way up from the south, while the glow from the setting sun shone on the water from the west.
