My favourite picture, it is hanging in my entry. He has a face only a mother could love. / Could never part with the original, but happy to share prints. Original oil on canvas.
Original oil on canvas, saw a photo and had to create my own impression of it.
(I AM NOT AN ARTIST I AM JUST A MAN WHO PAINTS.L.S.LOWRY).... I have been painting as an amateur artist on and off for many years.I have over the years developed a very unusual use of colour and content, which I now know from experience appeal to many people, Including individual collectors and dealers. Newcastle upon Tyne England has been a hotbed of heavy Industry since the beginning of the industrial revolution, most of which has now gone forever. A lot of my paintings are recollections of youthful images of the period, late 1940s and 1950s. They are inspired by local naïve and primitive pitmen artists I am also an admirer of L.S.LOWRY, and the great American artist EDWARD HOPPER .AND GRANMA MOSES among others. This quirky painting is of my cat Zorro and his favourite food, fresh snapper! Acrylic On Canvas, measuring 60×60cm. Just a fun painting I did earlier this year when I first thought that this would be a good time in the year when I made a decision to rekindle and embrace my creativity.

I am quite fond of these fish – you just can’t mess up painting a koi :) I had just finished my initial drawing and was about to start painting – as always, I had my coffee cup right next to my water cup that I use for dipping my paintbrush into – wouldn’t you know it, I dipped my paintbrush right into the coffee. I realized it immediately, and didn’t actually paint with the coffee :) but it did set my mind adrift as to the possibilities of different color relationships for these fish – why let reality be your guide? Enjoy!
