  • Taken in my homeland, Salento, Puglia, south of Italy.. / I usually spend my summer holiday to my parents place, / I just love observing people fishing, gives me a sense of tranquility.. the sunset was so nice and I grabbed the opportunity to take this picture. / This is exactly the way it looked. / / . /

  • This is a mixture of watercolour and pastel and is of the Wansbeck, a local river where we spent most of our childhood – a time of wartime restrictions and no home entertainment beyond board games. In those days we fished for food rather than sport. Regardless, it was great fun.

  • This was taken late 06 on a south bound snow mission in new zealand, it was blowing 90+km wind, my friend would not get out of the car, so i had to put my tripod hard up agaisnt me and hang on!!!!.....................hard work pays off eh??!!....

  • I took this picture a couple of years ago at the beach of Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. / This is a fine example I think of how a fisheye lens can completely change the feeling of an ordinary scene. The subject is simply some surf on the seashore, captured from a distance of not more than a foot. / The original picture is a Fuji Velvia 50 Iso medium format slide.   • It was blowing a gale while taking these photos, there was lighting strikes to the far right of the picture, but I wasn’ able to capture any. I didn’t think any of these would turn out any good considering the conditions, so it was a nice suprise to come away with some nice shots. not long after this was taken it started to rain and the people fishing and myself made a mad dash for our cars. all in all a fun afternoon.

  • Another coracle …... fully laden with 2 men and a full catch. This one was taken early in the morning under a heavy blanket of fog/mist covering the lake. I was pretty surprised to see the size and number of fish they caught! Nikon D80 / Nikkor 18-135mm 18mm<br />f/6.3 1/40sec; ISO 400 (needed the little extra speed).
