This is an oil painting I did the day of my wedding. It was a class I was taking and the instructor knew I was getting married that afternoon. So he had the class paint as fast as they could, he said it will come out better then spending a lot of time on it. Well, he was right! All the paintings in the class turned out so beautiful and it took us 2 hours and I was off at noon to get ready for my wedding. This was the happiest day of my life! We were married in the little church in the Garden of the Gods. The most beautiful place on the earth. When I brought my painting home my husband was amazed and loved the picture. To this day we cherish this picture the most. It was in July and the flowers were blooming and there in the back drop was Pikes Peak covered with snow. A day of beauty, with love in our hearts, no wonder this painting turned out so good. This original picture is not available for sale. You can also visit my website: www.RedfishArtwork.com

An old wooden fishing boat sits on the shore of Burwash lake in western Yukon Territory in complete dereliction. Years of use and the brutal weather has began to chip away at the many layers of paint.

Whiskeytown Lake, West of Redding, CA taken this morning 03/23/08. Heading West on HWY 299 from Redding CA, this is just a short and beautiful drive; well known due to the dedication in 1963 by President John F. Lake Mackintosh is a Hydro Tasmania lake near Tullah in Tasmania’s west. Surrounded by mountains and old growth forests, It dams the Mackintosh River and Sophia River, then feeds Mackintosh Power Station, Tasmania through into Lake Rosebery. / The Murchison River (Tasmania) is also fed into this lake through the Murchison Dam, to the south. / Like all Hydro Tasmania lakes, Lake Mackintosh is stocked with plump trout. You can launch your boat at a number of boat ramps on the Lake and spend the day fishing, or enjoy a picnic or barbecue on the shore. / Literally surrounded by lakes, Tullah is a haven for boating and fishing enthusiasts. You can enjoy a number of walks in the area, including the challenging bushwalk to the summit of Mt Farrell which is rewarded with stunning views. Once accessible only by rail, Tullah now has a tourist railway – the restored steam train Wee Georgie Wood – which operates on weekends during the summer months. You can also join a number of guided tours in the area including trout fishing, horse riding and four wheel drive tours. / /

A boat, a lake and lots of fish adds up to a great day and night of fishing for men (and women) and even kids who love fishing at the lake. Sepia and blue add up to a great night of enjoying the lake and each other’s company. This was taken at dusk when the light was almost gone. There was a huge moon behind the tree that provided the remaining light. / This photo was taken at Silverwood Lake just north of Cajon Pass in Southern California. It is a popular lake for boating, swimming fishing, picnics and fun in the sun. hdr enhanced Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. This was a beautiful evening in Taupo watching the fisherman work during peak time for trout exiting the nearby river. Amazing skies, still lake and yes the stars are real.

Fishermen at the Silvrettasee (Silvretta Lake), Silvretta, Austrian Alps. / After a day-long hiking through the Silvretta mountains, I was deeply impressed by the peaceful mood and green-grey beauty of the Silvretta Lake. Ice-cold waters rushing from the glaciers of Piz Buin and its neighbours created an amazing abstract form of the lake shore.
