Greek fishing boat on the shore of a small bay.
BEST VIEWED WHEN ENLARGED This is the harbour in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. The shot was taken at dawn from the east pier looking back towards the town. On the left is Tate Beach and on the right the pier where fish is landed every day. I like how the light from the cloud reflected onto the water below and that this is not a particularly well known view of the town.
Shot this while taking a Christmas morning stroll along the beach.

Pretty lucky was I, today Tuesday 15th September I joined my 10 year old daughter Alex on a class excursion day out to The Great Barrier Reef! Cool day trip I must say… / Firstly we headed off out from Cairns after having to get up at 4.30am and leave Ravenshoe to get there in time for the boat. This is Green Island on arrival from a distance. The sea is the Coral Sea. It is a very small island only 29 acres and is the only coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest. But you know I’m not going to go on about how wonderful Green Island is itself because I found something at Green Island today that went inside my soul and worth more to me to talk about than the whole Great Barrier Reef so I will share with you soon a special story that I found today on Green Island while enjoying the beautiful Far North Queensland sunshine and snorkelling among the reef fish with my daughter…
