  i want to first give marianne a HUGE thanks and Hug for wanting this print and asking me to upload to buy it, im so honored and speechless at the same time. to have another photographer that you admire and adore, to want to buy Your work..wow the feeling cant be put into words. / so i have to ask the people that read this, exactly how do you handle selling your work when you know who the buyer is? / for me..each time my work sells to someone i know, i feel like i should say more then just ..thanks i still close up when i know the person buying my work, even here locally my chief with the fire dept and his wife, are starting up a collection of my work in their home. / i find myself…shy!! believe it or not! LOL / i have realized tho..i dont ever want to lose that humbleness (that a word? is now) of someone thinking my photography is good enough to hang in their home, or give as a gift, who knows..maybe they know im very humbled at the fact they want my work? so Marianne…Thank You so much!! for the faith you have always had in me, for supporting me, for helping me with my photography, by putting better equipment in my hands, for being one of the bestest people that has ever come into my life. you will always be an angel in my eyes…thank you this is what she bought

  First Creek

  The remote and beautiful First Creek, Errinundra Plateau, Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. I got up at 5:30am drove almost 200km much of it over mountain roads, found that the road to the start of the walk was closed so walked 6km to get to the start then walked another 3km through thick bush to get to the top of the falls where the fun really began. On the entire walk in, the sun was blazing and the few shots I took were terrible the contrast being too great to record properly but just as I reached the falls a very thick cloud layer descended offering me as good a lighting condition as is possible for this kind of photography. Below the main falls the country becomes quite steep and I climbed in and out of it until 6:00pm before walking back. I reached the track in last light then walked the 6km back before returning home getting to bed at 1:30am. A tiring but extremely satisfying day. Camera: Canon EOS 5D mkII / Lens: EF16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM @ 16mm / Filter: Circular Polarising / ISO: 100 / Shutter Speed: 5 sec / Aperture: f/16 / WB: Auto / Post production: levels, sharpening For more waterfall shots check out my Waterfalls gallery.   Sold a laminated print of my Red String of Fate to a mystery buyer today :D / / This is actually the first time to sell my work as a print so it means a lot; many thanks! / / / It’s kind of funny though, because just two days ago I purchased a card of the same work. When I saw the e-mail from RedBubble I thought they were only talking about the sale I made to myself :P until I read it was a print sale ~ / / / / On other news, I now have a new laptop for school which is only half a month away. I got my windows upgrade kit yesterday; upgrading the new laptop now (working on my old machine in the meantime) and hopefully won’t run into any bugs during the semestre. I’ve also been doing some research for my thesis, which I plan to be origami related; and learned it can be very practical. Did you know origami has saved lives? It has provided inspiration of the construction of air bags in cars, as well as the heart stent. / / / Stainless steel model of the origami heart stent. / / It has also been applied to the construction of satellites that unfold in space as well as a very large telescope that folds up so that it can be carried into a space shuttle, and unfolded in outer space! Can read more here Yup it has been busy, though I still check up on ongoing activity here in the bubble and look forward to being active later in the future again.
