A bit of humor featuring fireflies and verse. Text says ” I wish I was a firefly, A firefly’s never glum, for how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum!”

So close,so far… / It felt like eternity… / I walked …and walked / lost in a paradise of ice Hopelessly crying, hoping / to be delivered from that immensity. / I reached the top of that icy pic / and saw a small refuge. For an euphoric instant / I saw His Face in the clouds / The Keeper of my souvenirs / I knew ,then / The reason of my wanderring… Gigi / / My first poem in english and first experience for me.This situation happened to me two days ago,I’ve got lost in the woods for 3 hours, walking and walking, desperate to find a saving light. It was so dark, even Tchoko was worried, chasing imaginary animals….then I saw thousands of stars all arround me,it was fireflies….it was like being part of the universe…nothing else but fireflies…then I realised I was out of the woods.I met 6 persons and asked for help, one of them let me do a phone call but Michel was working late and wasn’t there.I have to say that I hated humanbeings that night and I cried of rage instead of fear.I finaly saw a police car on the road and went back to where I was parked. It was midnight.Tchoko and I slept the day after, tired but happy to be home. / ...A true story ..thanks for reading…x / / PS. I wanted to do the sunset on the top of a mountain, the same place I took «Together at last»but I forgot the time shooting mushrooms…. :)))..it’s all me. / / A macro shot of snow that fell down the roof last winter.I hope I’m not the only one who sees a part of a face in the clouds… :))...better view larger.

Fairies are personifications of human wishes or frustrations in the form of little people with magical powers. They appear in most folk traditions under various names, usually as nature spirits enjoying their own lives at a supernatural level, sometimes meddling in human affairs. Their importance in symbolism is mainly orally and literary. As their name (derived from the Latin fata, “fate”) suggests, they appear essentially to explain gently the workings of destiny with its unpredictable gifts or disappointments. Fairy Tales are exceptionally rich in symbolism, psychological and social, portraying the challenges presented by the different stages in life. / Fireflies by Faith Hill stirs the magic of imagination, fairies and fireflies…;) / /

A day that forever we will cherish / before their childhood does perish With glowing gossamer wings / to hear as enchanted life sings As fairies within petals of a rose / another costume change to pose Swinging on colored flowering vines / upon Gramma’s lap ~ smiles shine In a sepia garden cousins kiss / moments captured in relative bliss A gift of remembrance and youth / captured through the lens of truth Time has changed them greatly since / and distance of miles won’t be convinced Kissin’ Cousins were captured this day / in Gramma’s heart and on her walls always. TK Rosevear 9/5/09 While speaking on the phone with my granddaughter tonight, she urged me to get this piece up for the Art and Stories for Children challenge/Tribute to Children, as we reminisced about our photo shoot for my 42nd Birthday. The girls, my granddaughters, Lexi and Lauren, were dressed up as fairies in a toadstool garden, inset to the inside of a rose, then changed into these country dresses & bonnets to swing on a swing and set within this sepia garden. We were photographed together, each seperately and them as a pair for several hours of shooting. We had a wonderful day, and these memories are plastered throughout our cabin walls to remind me of a most beautiful gift. Didn’t think the Elvis song would be appropriate, so chose Lexi’s favorite singer, Faith Hill singing Fireflies
I’m back at work today and my stomach is doing all kinds of scary protest nerve dances. Luckily I have this little home here to handhold while I try and settle back into what bizarrely feels like first day of skipped a year ahead school. / ticketytock
