  • we cast our roots deep / the grid extends its reach / things don’t look good / as we feel the ground wake / nothing will change / flames will walk the earth / and nothing will change things dont look good – genghis tron This is a slight departure from my usual travel photography… so my apologies to those watchers who keep expecting that sort of work.. I’ll be back to travel shots soon.. I’m just in a bit of a different head-space right now..

  • As the reptilian embodiment of primordial power, the DRAGON is personified as the vigilant guardian with oracular knowledge, that has stretched human’s imaginations for 70 million years… / To me, the dragon combines all the elements – fire breathing, air flight, watery reptilian features, earthy symbolism and the metallic swords defeat – a sovereign symbol of forces to be reckoned with…can you feel the dragon’s breath? / / /

  • It was a wonderfull site to see this men painting and dying his fabrics,..i watched him for a long time and offered him a cup of chai….real art in Bikaner, Rajahstan, India

  • On the grounds of the Oka monastery, in Oka Quebec, is a blacksmith shop. On Saturday December 6th/08 while attending a Christmas craft fair, held in one of the barns, the public was invited to witness the blacksmith at work. / These artisans still use the tools of their forefathers. Today they produce various iron decorative objects such as candelabras and coffee tables in their shop in addition to the traditional work associated with rural life such as gates, agricultural tools, and horsehoes. It was a fascinating experience watching this young man demonstrate the skills needed for this ancient trade. Photoshop Elements used: Unsharp Mask

  • On Zazzle / on DeviantART Strongly inspired by Kagerou ... all the flowy red and orange hair, and a bit of Van Gogh’s Starry Night as well, for the background. A fierce and free magechild, who commands the fire of the night and moves through their own imagination at will… / Basically, controls the realm of dreams. / (also, Kagerou is possibly maybe initially believed to be a crazy-dream-journey) ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet

  • This Dry Riser cabinet, housing emergency service fire hoses..was broken.. I looked up at the building it serviced..some 20 storeys plus and shook my head at the nature of some vandalism…. I also liked the bold geometric shape in fire engine red. / Photograph Taken July 09. /

  • I was taken (almost against my will) to Victorian University of Technology in Footscray, Melbourne where one of my friend’s needed to make an appearance at their Open Day, of which she was involved in the planning. I spotted this set of stairs and railings on the way back to the car. Suddenly the trip there was all worthwhile :) It was an overcast day and lighting was poor, but with the help of level tweaking, a blue filter and a dash of contrast, this grey concrete was looking a lot more fire ravaged. • This image was selected in September 2009 as a Featured Work in the group Abstract Macro Urban Art What people around the World are saying about “The Fury“ / “Great abstract. I really like your interpretation” Australia / “You can really see a story. Brilliant” United Kingdom / “Your work is great, but this is on a higher level. Utterly the best.” Canada / “Fabulous!” USA / “This is awesome….Great composition and shot!!!” Australia / “Wow! Fantastic! Amazing the stories that macros can reveal, and I can easily follow yours! Excellent color and shapes!” Quebec, Canada / “What you see in this image is so interesting.” USA Inspired by the recent wildfires in Southern California, in this image I see “fury” in two opponents. One being a massive wilderness fire raging with billows of smoke, ever menacing. The opponent being someone’s bravery making a stand with their own “fury” in an attempt to battle the blaze. In actuality, this abstract photograph is some rusted, aluminum siding splattered with tar that is being used as privacy fencing. Seen and captured in Tucson, Arizona’s Barrio Viejo district by JD Brummer.

  • Another shot from the abandoned brickworks factory in Brunswick, Melbourne. This was on the second level up, hidden in the back corner of the room. It grabbed my attention as it was the only real red painted object in the room. Everything else was a reddish brown rust. I was exploring there with Chris, have a gander at his folio for more shots from our adventures. • Medium: Digital / Description: Inspired by the work of H R Giger and taking around 20 hours to complete, this digital painting was comprised of around 39 layers and took up 223mb of hard drive. It is also a forerunner to the project “Deck: The Wonderful Future.” This piece was originally created as an entry to a magazine cover contest, where you were given 10 stock photographs to use in the design. Out of all of the photos provided, only a small portion of one photo was used and this was a building, manipulated to form the background. / Completed in 2009.
