  • On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

  • Taken at Lake Glenmaggie during the Gippsland bushfires in Dec 2006. Typical of Australian summers, the combination of extremely hot, dry days (40 degrees celcius and higher), combined with quite possibly the most severe and longest drought in our history produces ideal weather for bushfire activity. Australia has come to accept that bushfires are a natural occurrence here and that we all have to accept and deal with them.

  • UNTOUCHED PICTURE / I went to the lake very early in the morning ,it was pretty cold but it was worth it ,it looks like the trees were in fire.Oh! NO SATURATION ,this was exactly that color. With saturation we would see some blue tint and we don’t .I could’nt beleive it myself. / Saint-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada / I often go to that local city parc on foggy morning. / 18 nov 09…10,365 views….. / people Favorited 313 / / / PANASONIC FZ20 / 55.6 MM-—-1/60 SEC-—-F 2.8-——ISO 100 / Maxhamish(who’s no longer in RB bought a small frame print 4 months ago. / Weberwanjek,a bubbler, bought a mounted print the 11/09/08

  • A fiery sunset sky over the still waters of Mendenhall Lake with icebergs claved off the Mendenhall Glacier dotting the lakes still waters.

  • I would like to thank Richie Fox for nominating this piece for the ‘Pay it Forward’ group here on RB. You can see his awesome art here -> http://www.redbubble.com/people/richman Here’s what he had to say about ‘Moon Fire:’ “I love this art because not everyone is doing it, its abit more specalized. Its close-up, macro shot and there is a talent in being able to see art, so very small, where other folk cant even see whats in front of them. This piece is a macro landscape from a bin/ dumpster and its brilliant. dark blue skies, bright sun and what could be seen as a bright red crop or a fire. colours and contrast work very well in the abstract. To have the vision and creativity to stick your head in a dirty bin and get close up looking for mini master pieces made from dirt, bumps, scratches and rusting metal surley does deserve a mention.” Richie – I’m flattered. Thanks for the nomination. This is a macro image taken from a dumpster in Boulder, Colorado. It has been edited for contrast and embellished to enhance the ‘landscapeness.’ The image is actually upside down… I think. I take so many of these that they all start to blur together. Reminds me of a Colorado Forest fire that I witnessed on a far away mountain.

  • BEST VIEWED LARGER No Filters, No Colour Enhancement, Just a Magic Moment and the wonders of HDR photography and wonderful sunset , great light and clouds . This shot was taken at Newport Wharf which is located on the shores of Pittwater north of Sydney. Easily accessable by car or public transport. Its the kind of place where you can wind down at the end of the day with a cold beer or a glass of Australian Chardonnay and watch the sun set in the west.. This is my neighbourhood about 5 minutes from my home, “Just a Little Touch of Paradise.” See the sister shot to this image Masters Paintbrush- Newport – The HDR Series / / So if youre visiting Sydney areas like this are within 40 klms of the city

  • Eaton’s Hill, Brisbane Qld.

  • “Clouds on the Water, Fire Near the Sky” / Purchase a Mouse Pad of this image I happened onto this gorgeous sunrise over the White River at a time when the water was at its lowest. I was delighted to catch the calm surface for reflections, as the low rising sun was casting its first orange glow over the autumn colors.

  • Taken at Wattamolla Lagoon in Royal National Park just south of Sydney looking north-east. The yellow glow is from the city lights. The sky looked like it was on fire with silver and gold licks of flame. And the moon halo just accentuated the mythic feel to this night sky scape. All gone in a few moments. The clouds were moving fast so I had to shoot at ISO 1600 to get a fast enough shutterspeed to minimise the blur. This is one of my early night moon shots taken with the Canon 30D that I stumbled on looking for something else.

  • Gerroa is an idyllic village at the Kiama end of Seven Mile Beach on the south coast of New South Wales … their sunset on Tuesday (6 January 08) was aided by smoke haze from bushfires in the Morton National Forest. After a day in which temperatures reached 40 degrees celsius and beyond, there were plenty of relaxed holiday-makers still enjoying the ambience, the breeze and the spectacular skies. • You give me rainbow butterflies / Your hand touches mine and I feel / The wisdom of oak trees line up / And we walk that lane which shines / Both of our spirits on parade Your wings are vibrating those / Colors that catch the light / My eyes are green to emeralds delight / As you listen for my lead / The one I took from our Spirits creed We make a pack of lovers bliss / That all things are possible with / One soulful kiss / That all who know us or come / Our way / Are blessed with knowing / All things are possible / Today. Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox

  • A flight to Denver Colorado, a 5 hour drive to Togwotee Mountain Pass, USA at an altitude of 9767ft made for some spectacular scenary, but also made for the worst altitude sickness EVER. One by one our party fell ill, only I remained standing. I went out on Christmas Day, took various shots including this one from the car, I also took a video diary of the trip for everyone in bed. I should really dig it out as I remember they wern’t happy with my jolly commentary. Only after I got stuck in the snow did I begin to feel exceptionally ill. The trip was immediately cut short. I missed out on the Devils Tower Wyoming and Mount Rushmore. Dammit. Greeting Cards / Framed Print / Canon 10D, 70-200mm at 135mm, f/9.5, 1/90 sec, ISO 200. No filters used and mounted on the car door. A small amount of dust and scratches removed in photoshop.
