Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Golden Daffodil September – Spring in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. ============================================== / Sold a Matted Print – (308mm x 231mm) ============================================== / “Daffodils”* (1804) I wander’d lonely as a cloud / That floats on high o’er vales and hills, / When all at once I saw a crowd, / A host, of golden daffodils; / Beside the lake, beneath the trees, / Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. / Continuous as the stars that shine / And twinkle on the Milky Way, / They stretch’d in never-ending line / Along the margin of a bay: / Ten thousand saw I at a glance, / Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. / The waves beside them danced; but they / Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: / A poet could not but be gay, / In such a jocund company: / I gazed - and gazed - but little thought / What wealth the show to me had brought: / For oft, when on my couch I lie / In vacant or in pensive mood, / They flash upon that inward eye / Which is the bliss of solitude; / And then my heart with pleasure fills, / And dances with the daffodils. A perfect example of beautiful accidents. The weird glow that the picture has – I didn’t do anything to the camera. I think I actually kind of sucked up the picture, and it turned out better for it.

Location: Cape Fear Botanical Garden Camera: Canon 50D Thoughts: This was my first time going to Cape Fear Botanical Garden. It’s basically a bunch of trails that lead to several Garden areas. It was worth the $5 entrance fee. I spent a lot of time there taking over 400 photos. From all those, I picked the ones I liked the best. And, here’s just one of them.

The flaming reds, oranges and yellow of this flower were beautiful. This is a macro shot taken at the Healdsburg Nursery, in Healdsburg, CA.
Picture of lillies I took over the summer from someone’s garden.
These tulips reminded me of William Wordsworth’s “The Daffodils”.
