Cockatoo Island is an urban parkland in Sydney Harbour – you catch a ferry there from Circular Quay. Huge industrial buildings from ship building days and stunning views of the Harbour bridge. You can even camp overnight. A magic place for photographers and currently artists as part of the Biennale Festival. .. oh and you’ll be pleased to know they’ve replaced these ones…. http://www.cockatooisland.gov.au/
These glass tiles were at the building where Kjell went for a paintball-fight with some buddies. It was an old factory, which had more or less been restored to now be used as a paintball area.
Mildred…. (sniff… sniff) was that you? / / CANADIAN BACON… LOL / / I was down at the local farm today… great place for kids. This was the feature attraction in the petting zoo. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography

It’s Bobby the pig – he’s the filth!
Self Portrait / Image taken in 2008 More from the series: / © Jessica Walker
Another piece for my photography final “Fragmented Self Image”. Dealing with the idea of shame and regret, and living with it or choosing to “wash” it away. I’m too tired to write a good description (finals just ended!), but I think this is rather self-explanatory. The goo on my face is black tempera paint, the goo from my mouth is black food colouring with corn syrup. Yum! Messiest shoot ever… PS. I got an A!
Bobby the pig says: “oh shit!” / He’s in a bit of a panic what with all this swine flu about… (He’s just got back from Mexico!) This tee goes with this ...and with this
Unfortunately it turns out whilst Bobby the pig was in Mexico recently, he had indeed contracted Swine Flu (or whatever it’s called!) But, fortunately for Bobby his strain of the bug has actually genetically mutated with Bird Flu – resulting in the obvious. Bobby has been very upbeat about the whole situation and was heard to have said: “fuck it! every cloud…” Pigs might fly!? This tee shirt goes with this ...and this Has anyone else got suspicions that all these ‘new’ flu’s are a result of humans playing God and dicking about with our foods???
I don’t have access to the proper kind of studio lighting to do this kind of image the way it should be done, so I resort to layers and lots of different blending modes… OK – I also admit that even though this series totally fits with the overall theme and direction of my work, it terrified the hell out of me to actually take these shots… FEATURED IN ‘VISUAL TEXTURE’!
Danni Filth – Cradle of Filth
The Black King-Rook’s Pawn (The Spawn) / Artist: Simon Sherry / Biography: Danny You will find them stationed around the pens of the monolith and they are used to maintain the health and well being of the King’s favourite beast. Crab-like creatures, they are used during times of inactivity as cleaning device for the Monolith, keeping it free of fleas and other parasites. Initially able to launch a longer-range assault by hurling highly-volatile Monolith dung from their excretion glands, their effectiveness is soon reduced to that of foot soldiers and cannon fodder during battle. /

Another one in my lane way series. This was taken in Brunswick, Melbourne. Just around the corner from Rendez-vouz. I layered the original shot 4 times, adjusting the hue to different ranges and increasing the brightness in all, added noise and a faint layer of texture.
